HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE – Day 4: Syncrohearts Couples Game

Today’s feature in the gift guide is something that I think would be a fun gift for you to give to your spouse and/or maybe some close friends of yours where a couples game would be gladly accepted. First let me say that this is not a kinky game, so don’t be fooled.

Bobby O’Neal aka Dr. Love, is an expert on love and relationships, and the creator of the hot new relationship game “Syncrohearts“. I received a copy of this game to play with my husband, Aaron, and to review. This game is not a sex game, but a game to help couples reconnect and spend quality time with one another. Bobby O’Neal really created this game as a way to save his own marriage and to help couples by creating lots of love, laughter, intimate communication and romance. He is an international speaker and author on the topic of love.

Now onto the game. Syncrohearts is a board game with 4 stacks of cards that you will draw from throughout the game. Each stack of cards is a different topic or theme. A great thing about the game is that if you allow yourself the time to play, it really is kind of a time-out for you as a couple (mom and dad in my case). It forced us to take the time to reconnect and communicate with one another. Some of the questions that the cards had were ones that were so fun to discuss as a couple. There were topics that we wouldn’t necessarily bring up in every day conversation, but allowed us to discuss some things that helped us learn even more about each other – even after 9 years of marriage. There were some cards that made us laugh as well. As Dr. Love says, Intimate Love-Making is just an added bonus of the game.

One thing that I really liked about this game, opposed to other games I have played, is that there were some cards that allowed game play to carry on for weeks or months. There were commitment type cards where it said to plan a time in the next …. to serve one another, make meals for each other, etc. I don’t want to give too many details away, but if you will follow the instructions of the game, it really will have couples reconnecting with one another in a variety of ways in even the days following the game.
