VTech MobiGo Review + Giveaway!!!

VTech has come up with a great Touch Learning System for young children called the MobiGo. It’s designed for children ages 3-8 and encourages the development of dexterity-based skills by shifting between touch-based games and keyboard-based games. It also promotes the development of problem solving, spelling, grammar, observation skills and mathematics. The MobiGo Touch Learning System is perfect for little hands and tough enough to withstand the abuse and pre-schooler can dish out.

New games may be downloaded by connecting the MobiGo device to a computer using the provided USB cable and installing the VTech download manager. Parents can select a wide range of games based on their child’s skill level, and can change the games as their child grows and develops. They can also log onto Vtech’s website to download performance information and progress.

The MobiGo comes with a touch screen and a slide-out Qwerty keyboard. I would recommend an AC adapter and headphones, as you can burn through batteries fairly quickly, and headphones would be nice for those long car rides. The games are fun and seem to hold my kids’ attention. The graphics are great and engaging for youngsters. I would recommend purchasing the MobiGo Game Storage, so you can store more memory which will hold your downloads and not lose them when the game system is turned off. I would also recommend using the learning progress function on the website to track your child’s progress with other like users.

The MobiGo happens to be on sale on Amazon for $39.99. This is a great price, as I was at Target today and they were on sale for $49.99 there. There are some great prices on the MobiGo games as well.

One of the best things about the MobiGo is that kids can emulate their parent’s electronic gadgets, but have more success with the kid oriented games and programs such as Shrek, Disney Princesses and Dora!

I also like the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit that help hold it in place on a hard surface without sliding around. The soft rubber that surrounds the hard-molded plastic makes it easy for little hands to grip. This device will surely spark your child’s imagination while encouraging learning and skill development.

One lucky Clever Housewife reader will win a MobiGo! Unfortunately this will not arrive before Christmas, but the giveaway will end at 11:59pm EST on 12/23. So, you will at least know by Christmas if you have won! To enter, please fill out the Rafflecopter form below. Some entries are worth more than others.

I received a promotional item to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed are my own.

  • What I want most for Christmas is to be able to buy at least one present for my 15 month old daughter.

  • What I want most for Christmas this year honestly is for a very peaceful Christmas day at my parents’. Yes the gifts are nice, but what is more important to me is that when all the family is together, we are all happy, loving, and having fun. Also, I’d like it to be more stress-free on my mom. I guess if I could maybe ask for one more thing it would be for my nieces to continue to be the precious little girls they are and for them to continue to put the smile on our faces that they do.

  • I want a certificate from my daughter saying I can have my grandchildren visit me overnight, at MY convenience, no questions asked and no excuses.

  • If I were to be totally selfish and could get exactly what I wanted I would love to win the lottery for like $5000- enough to pay off all our back bills, put some towards a better running car and replace my wedding ring that i lost in November. But I really just want my kids to have an awesome day and to understand a bit more about the reason we celebrate Christmas.

  • I wanted to adopt a dog from the shelter dor xmas and just happened across a sweet english bulldog and shea a sweet heart

  • What I want most this year is my family back together and happy. My husband and I have hit a very big rough patch and probably aren’t going to make it through it, but I am hoping that somehow god can give us a miracle so we can keep our family together for our son.

  • I’m so sorry April! I too hope that you have your miracle this Christmas and get your family back together! Try to keep your chin up! xoxoxo

  • What Id like most for Christmas is to see the smiling faces of my children that bring so much sunshine to my life! 🙂

  • I want my husband Richard back he passed away 17 months ago when our baby was 16 1/2 days old but I can not have him back so what I want is that our baby is safe, healthy & that she knows she is loved

  • I am so sorry for your loss Stephanie! Bless your heart, and your little one! I hope you both have a very blessed holiday!!! It is hearing stories like yours that make me reevaluate my life and my perception of it – as should everyone. I can only imagine how rough the past year and a half has been for you!

  • First & foremost I would love a new back & to lose about 50 lbs., but being Santa cannot bring that for me I would love to win this toy for my grandson so he’ll finally warm up to me. He’s so standoffish to me that sometimes it just breaks my heart & one of these is just out of my budget & a kind Santa told me what he said he wanted. Oh boy am I in trouble. 🙁

  • I want to see the joy in my 3 year old’s face Christmas morning. It’s the first year that he really “gets” it.

  • I would love for everyone to take a moment this Christmas and remember what Christmas is all about. I know that everyone has different beliefs and faiths but to me, Christmas is about Christ.

  • What I want most for Christmas is for my grandfather to live and be okay as he has been in the hospital for at least 4 months and just keeps getting worse and worse.

  • i would like enough money to fix our car and not have to worry about it when my husband deploys.

  • I already have what I really want. My children are happy and healthy, not everyone can say that and I pray that some day, if not today, they can.

  • I just want my kids to have a great day, we’ve had a few rough months with the recent unexpected passing of my dad.. so I just want to be with my family and survive and see my kids enjoy the day.

  • I actually don’t want anything this year….I got my iPad2 when it was first released, so that was really the only thing I wanted this year.

  • What a beautiful thought Brandy!! I too believe that we are very blessed to have happy and healthy children. Many people take that for granted (I’m sure there are times when I do too).
