Nutrisystem Week 1 #NSNation

Last week I told you all that I was biting the bullet and starting Nutrisystem. At first I was nervous that I picked a horrible time to start a new diet since I was spending the first week traveling. I have to say that I’m quite pleased with myself with my results from week one on Nutrisystem. I am especially impressed with myself because of being in New York for five days of my diet, and being tempted with all sorts of goodness.

I won’t lie and say that I took all of my Nutrisystem meals with me. I did, however, take a few breakfast and lunch items to get my days off to a good start. This simple act was just the motivation I needed to get me thinking healthier throughout the day.

Another thing that helped get me off to a good start was that I got to meet up with a group of bloggers who are all on Nutrisystem, and have lunch together. Having lunch with fellow “Nutrisystem-ers” was fabulous because we shared tips with one another, and nobody wanted to be the one who ordered a 2000-calorie meal in front of the others.

(Of course, I can’t neglect the fact that I walked EVERYWHERE in New York, and sweated my tushy off.)

Despite my many days traveling, I still tried several different Nutrisystem meals, and I was surprisingly impressed. While the meals really teach portion control (yes, they’re fairly small) they’re actually quite tasty. When selecting my food for the month, I was able to go onto the Nutrisystem website and check out the reviews and ratings on all of the foods. I think I chose my food wisely—so far.

Now for the results:

When I did my weekly weigh-in, I came in at 170.8 for a whopping total of three pounds lost — as I bow to the crowd. 😉 I really have much work ahead of me, but I feel it is important to celebrate any successes along the way.

Starting weight: 173.8

Current weight: 170.8
