SKIL iXO Palm-Sized Screwdriver in Pink for “Tools for the Cure” – GIVEAWAY

Do you have a set of girl tools you keep in a junk/tool/catch-all drawer in your house, or do you have to go rummage in the garage through the greasy man stuff to find the right tool? Someone gave me a set of my own tools at my bridal shower – many moons ago. It consisted of a small hammer, screwdriver and pliers. I’ve loved having my own tools and I always know right where they are. I thought it was such a great idea, that I’ve repeated giving that kind of gift when the occasion arises. A few times, I’ve even found some fun flowery print tools, and keep a supply on hand for future gift giving. I’ve often wished I had my own power drill, rather than have to use my husband’s hefty drill.

Well, This year, SKIL Power Tools has joined the fight against breast cancer by partnering with Susan G. Komen to launch their โ€œTools for the Cureโ€ campaign. Ten percent of the unit price of every pink iXO sold between August 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cureยฎ, providing a minimum donation of $100,000 to the organization.
You can go to and learn all about SKIL tools and view a short video to see this handy little cordless power drill in action.

Light weight and versatile, the SKIL iXO cordless screwdriver is the one tool you’ll never want to be without, whether you’re changing batteries in a toy, installing blinds, or hanging pictures.

  • I LOVE it!!! My husband has his own big manly power drill; but I want something for me! And this is SO my style! Plus I love that it’s pink and they support Breast Cancer awareness.

  • I’m not a fan of turning everything pink “for the cure”. I do think that every adult (regardless of gender), should have and know how to use basic tools and power tools.

  • I can understand that kallie – not everything. But I do love pink tools. That keeps anybody from ‘borrowing’ my tools and the claiming them as there own. That happened to me – as a divorced mom I make sure I have the tools I need to do odd jobs around my house and that makes the men in my family think they can ‘borrow’ them and then just keep them because what do I need with those kind of tools? Yeah, I think I am gonna get pink ones. Lemme see ’em keep those! Woo hoo!

  • I think its a good idea to know the basics with tools for home and cars etc ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I have my own sets of screwdrivers and such – my honey works on bicycles a lot, so his tools are GROSS! I’d love to win this!

  • I think all women need their own special colored tools. Atleast it might keep the men from borrowing them.

  • I think that women should get their own tools if their husband doesn’t want to share his or if she is single and wants her own; it’s up to her.

  • I have my own hammer and screwdriver! I like to keep mine nice and clean, hubby not so much! lol

  • I would like to have my own tools. They would be nice to grab when I needed and not have to deal with my husband’s dirty tools.

  • I can NEVER find my husband’s tools when I need them…. I need my own!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • i have been asking for my own tools for years! and if it’s pink, hubby wont want to use it!

  • yes I do. When my hubby comes home from work he sleeps all day so if something needs fixing I can do it. He works nights, so I can do somethings when he’s sleeping. Plus I won’t have him over my shoulder telling me how to do things ;).

  • I use my hubby’s tools for around the house but they are big, combersome and NOT MINE!! LOL! MINE would ALWAYS be charged and ready to use.

  • I used to have my own tools until my husband got a hold of them. He never puts them away in MY toolbox. LOL

  • I think all women should have power tools and know how to use them. And just to note… I NEVER SHARE MY TOOLS OR TOYS! (It’s not just a testosterone issue!)
    Thanks for the chance1

  • I think husband and wife can Share tools, but it’s always more fun to have my own set, so I always know where they are. My husbands tools are never in the same place twice…I need my own so I can actually use them when I need them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I think that both men and woman should know how to use tools. It doesn’t matter to me if we have our own set of tools. I share everything with my husband, and he wouldn’t care if the drill was pink or neon green!

  • I think having our own would encourage us more. That way we don’t feel like we would damage anyone tools because they belong to us only.

  • This is adorable! Love the idea of having some of my own tools…then I will always know where they are.

  • I think that it’s nice to have “me size” power tools and I wouldn’t really care what color they are as long as they are powerful enough to do the job.. I feel like almost everything in the month of October is pink these days and it is starting to get to me.

  • Yes, I definitely do. My daughter has to be the handywoman in her homne and her hubby doesn’t want to learn. My other daughter does also often because her hubby knows how, but doesn’t do it. So yes, we need our own that is ours

  • I don’t know about all women having their own tools, but I would love to have my own tools. Hubby always says I take “his stuff” and that I don’t put it back where “it belongs” and he can’t find it when he needs it LOL. I always put stuff back where I found it… its usually HIM that leaves it somewhere and doesn’t remember where he put it lol. So I’d love my own tools and tell him that he can’t touch them ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Of course we should! I would love to grab a tool that doesn’t have dirt or grease all over it!

  • My husband is a Millwright and takes alotta the tools with him on the road. I dont think he would be taking this pink set with him!!! Would love to be able to find tools when needed.

  • I would *love* to have my own drill!! I could finally do some of the projects I’ve wanted to around the house without waiting for hubs to do it. And yes, it is a pain having to reach for his greasy tools to do it. Yay for SKIL for recognizing our needs while supporting a wonderful cause!!

  • Oh yea……..and the pink color might help keep them away LOL

  • Yes!!! I like my own tools because I can keep the. Organized my way! Plus wt all the feet DIY projects on Pinterest, a girl needs her tools!!

  • I think All women have the tools they need to survive.
These happen to be adorable tools that can be used around the house.’\
    Thanks for the chance.

  • I have my own tool box & my household knows not to touch it. I love they mow have tools for women

  • I think that it’s definitely important for a women to know how to use basic tools. If making them pink help them get more interested in learning than that’s awesome!

  • I love that this is for a good cause! And it is empowering to be giving away tools that are made for women! Love this!

  • I think that it’s a sweet thing to have “our” own tools. Years ago I got my single mother a set of pink tools for Christmas. She loved them!

  • The colors make it easier to keep track of what tools are yours, but I think everyone should know the basics for using tools. You never know when you might have to fix something quick.

  • Yes I do, most men don’t want anyone touching their tools including their spouse so I think woman need to have their own as we..

  • no…TJ is pretty good with letting me use all his tools. But, I do love that it is pink ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I definitely think women should have their own tools. I used to have my own toolbox and tools. My husband is notorious for never putting his stuff away. He has taken over my toolbox and leaves those tools all over the place too. I should win the pink skil cordless screwdriver because maybe the colour would make him leave it alone! I have hidden my dremel from him so he can’t leave it out some where.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  • I love the pink! If I had the money I would buy one just to support Breast Cancer Awareness. I lost my grandma to breast cancer years ago. ๐Ÿ™

  • I definitely think women should have their own set of tools. If anyone else’s husband is like mine he is always losing his tools. I would hide this from him and it would only be for me!!

  • Absolutely! We have two daughters that I say are their fathers sons! lol Both of my girlss have mini pink tool sets and often times work on their own cars and put their own things together (computer desks etc)!

  • I do think I should have my own tools, then I can fix something right away instead of 6 months ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I love tools that are designed for a woman’s use. I think it is nice for my husband and I to have our own tools. Some of his tools are bulky and difficult to use.

  • Nope – I like being able to steal his, but I don’t mind having my own for some things…

  • My tools always get borrowed and never put back in my toolbox. I love this is pink (boys are afraid to touch pink) and supports a good cause at the same time!

  • YES because I can never find my husband’s tools! Although with my luck, he’d use it when he couldn’t find his and then I would never get it back lol

  • I think women should have their own tools. but if he wants to help, I’m not stopping him. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Yes I do believe women should have their own set of tools :0) In our house I’m the fixer so all the tools are Mom’s tools :0)

  • We all use the same tools in my house but I like the idea of the breast cancer support tools – a constant reminder to keep on top of your health!

  • Love the pink tools and see nothing wrong at all with tools for women separate from men.

  • I have always had my owm tools, I have always been a fix it myself kinda gal, man or no man, doesnt matter to me ๐Ÿ™‚ But I do adore PINK!!!

  • Yes! I have a set of pink tools at work that are only for me. Guys seam to never return anything that they borrow but I’ve had pretty good luck keeping my pink ones ๐Ÿ™‚

  • YES. Because He takes MINE and then I cant find them! haha

I try and stash a screwdriver somewhere for ME to use with out going to get one from the tool box, and he moves it All The Time, lol THANKS for the chance to WIN

  • I think women should have their own tools and know how to use them. I have my own little tool box to help me out when I need a small job done and don’t have to wait on him. if he wants to help when there, I don’t stop him. lol

  • I could get a lot done around the house!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Lots of projects here as a stay at home momma ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I think women need their own set of tools as I can never find where my husband puts tools when I need them.
