Win a Set of Kitchen Knives from Good Cook ($125 Value)

As a Good Cook Kitchen Expert, I was provided a set of kitchen knives to review so that I could share my experiences with you.

Every good cook needs and deserves to have great kitchen tools. Okay, you really don’t need to be a great cook in order to deserve great kitchen tools. Sometimes the tools can even improve your cooking. I personally like to have colorful cooking gadgets in my kitchen.

Nonstick Kitchen Knives from Good Cook

Did you know that Good Cook makes kitchen knives in every color of the rainbow? These are cool for a few reasons. Not only do these knives look pretty in your kitchen, but each color of knife has a different purpose. First of all, let me just say that I love that these nonstick cutlery knives come with a matching safety sheath! I have had knives in the past where the safety sheath was just a cardboard sleeve, and they all looked alike. The Good Cook safety sheats are a heavy plastic and match the color of the knife they go with. Just a word of warning; Don’t let your kids be fooled that these knives are toys, just because they are bright and colorful. Thank goodness they do have a safety sheath!

The set of 6 Nonstick Cutlery Knives from Good Cook retail at $125, and one Clever Housewife reader will win the set for themselves! First let me tell you about each of the knives.

These nonstick-coated knives come in inviting colors for ready access—the bright coding signals that purple is for sandwiches, green is for paring, yellow is for bread, orange is a santoku knife for meats and vegetables, blue is a chef knife for a variety of tasks, and red is a utility knife for fruits and veggies. The serrated blades are crafted from high-carbon steel, which stays sharp through regular use. The nonstick coating prevents crumbs from sticking. Each knife includes a safety sheath to help protect the blade and allow for safe storage. The soft-grip, ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand and provides better control when slicing and when hands are wet.

chopping green onions

My favorite knife is the red utility knife, but the yellow bread knife is a close second. I found the utility knife to be perfect for chopping green onions. You can check out my recipe for Cheesy Potato Bake, which I used these green onions in for Easter dinner.

Through 4/15/13, you can get 30% off these knives as well as your entire order at www.goodcook.com with promo code: NONSTICK. Happy shopping!
