Tackling Mental and Physical Health Goals with Slimfast 14-Day Slimdown

Summer is half over and I am just one month away from my trip to London, Edinburgh and Paris! When I began this year, I had my upcoming adventure in mind, as well as some health and wellness goals. My mom will be my traveling companion, and we actually shared some of the same goals, to be achieved before our trip. Some of those goals pertained to mental health while others regarded our physical health. I can’t speak for my mom regarding her mental health, but I can tell you that she looks freakin’ amazing! She wanted to lose some weight before our trip and she has done phenomenal.

I wish I could say I felt the same way about myself, but I have had quite a bit of emotional healing to do. While I think mental and physical health can go hand-in-hand, I have had a difficult time tackling both at the same time. The past 7 months have brought a tremendous amount of change and upheaval in my life. I have had ups and downs (mostly downs), but I am happy to report that I feel my mental health is much improved. I have so much more peace in my life, and in my home. Now it is time to tackle that physical goal I had in mind before my trip. I’ve just been introduced to the Slimfast 14-Day Slimdown, which will be perfect for a kickstart to achieving my goals. I’m getting down to the wire here, and want to have some serious success in the next month. I want to have confidence, but also the energy and strength to tromp all over Europe!

What is the Slimfast® 14-Day Slimdown? From what I’ve been reading, it is a convenient and delicious way to lose up to lose 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Yeah baby! Slimfast doesn’t leave you on your own either. Signing up for Slim Coaching is easy and can add to your support system by offering tips from experts, daily motivation and funny videos. This looks to be a great resource, and just possibly the kick in the pants we all need to get motivated.

Now for a rundown of the Slimfast 14-Day Slimdown, to lose up to 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks:

  • Swap two meals daily with a Slimfast® protein shake or meal bar
  • The third meal must be 500 calories
  • Enjoy three 100-calorie snacks or pieces of fruit per day
  • Don’t exceed 1200 calories per day
  • Do 30 minutes of light to medium exercise daily and drink plenty of water

During your Slimdown, you may use shakes or bars as meal replacements. I didn’t even know they had bars, but I just started using the Greek Yogurt & Honey, honey Snack Bars and not only are they super easy and convenient, but they taste good too! I won’t hit my ultimate weight goal by the time I depart for London, but I feel it is important that I am trying to get healthier, happier and more confident. Baby steps! If I can drop 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks, then that’s 6 pounds closer to my end goal.
