Enter to Win $1 Million in the Lay’s Do Us A Flavor Contest

Lay's Do Us a Flavor Contest

Living in California has many benefits; one of which is the easy access to all of the fresh produce and nuts. I live in the middle of agriculture territory, in Northern California. We grow such a wide variety of foods out this way, and I truly feel blessed because of it. Farmers markets are in abundance in the area, where all of the regular produce can be found, but also some fun new finds the local farmers have developed.

Because of all that can be grown where I live,  and where I grew up (in Yuba City, CA), there are some foods that are my go-to when it comes to cooking and seasoning. Fresh tomatoes and garlic are always easy to get, and do so much for so many dishes.

The Lay’s brand is asking consumers to “Do Us A Flavor” by creating a flavor of chips, inspired by their city or state. Because of the agriculture where I live, and the accessibility (and great flavor) of tomatoes and garlic, I’d like to see Lay’s come up with a Sundried Tomato and Garlic potato chip. YUM!

The Lay’s “Do Us A Flavor” contest has returned to the U.S. with a $1 million grand prize for the best potato chip flavor idea. Think you’ve got what it takes? In addition to submitting your flavor idea, include the location (city/state) that inspired each potential million-dollar idea. The four delicious finalist flavors – representing flavorful cities and towns across the U.S. – will be fully developed, brought to store shelves and voted on by America.

You have until March 30, 2015 to submit your flavor idea. Submit online, or enter via Twitter (follow @Lays for details), through the Lay’s Facebook Page or by using their cell phone to text FLAVOR to CHIPS (24477). After you have entered, come back here and leave a comment with your flavor idea. I’d love to see what you come up with!
