Dollar General as a Quick One Stop Shop for Pet Supplies

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sponsored by Purina. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s the end of the day, you’re tired, and you’ve run out of dog food. What do you do? At the end of the day (sometimes before), my pajamas are likely calling my name. If I need to run to the store then I want to be in and out in a jiffy. I have found Dollar General to be a quick one stop shop for pet supplies.

With an entire aisle dedicated to dog and cat products, you can come away with quite the pet haul. There were some great sales, and they carry a fairly large variety of Purina products. Unfortunately they don’t carry the grain free Beneful dog food I feed Lucy, due to allergies. However, I was able to score some Beggin’ Strips for just 2 for $5! Since we have been remodeling, we have been slacking in the treat department and Lucy knows it. She was mighty glad when we brought home some treats this week.

Because Dollar General stores aren’t overly large, it makes it easy to run in and out with your essentials. The parking lot isn’t big, so I am able to park close to the store. Or like this week, hubby dropped me off by the doors, and I ran in and out in a jiffy, with Lucy’s treats. Not to mention the great prices I always find! I even gave Leanne a call while I was in the pet aisle, to see if she was in need of Tidy Cats or Fancy Feast food for her kitties. As she has mentioned in other posts, her cats can be quite picky, so it is nice that Dollar General carries everything her cats demand.

Whether you just get the basic essentials for your furry friends, or you like to spoil them with toys and treats, Dollar General has it all with a variety of Purina products. Lucy is quite happy what we made away with!

You too can participate in the #DGPetDash contest on Instagram. Each participant is asked to fill 1 Dollar General shopping bag with pet items from Dollar General. Upload a photo of your haul to Instagram. The photo with the most likes will receive $100 worth of free pet food/treats from Purina (in the form of 5 $20 Purina manufacturer coupons). Just be sure to use the required hashtag in your upload: #DGPetDash, for qualification. I’d also love for you to comment on my post with a link to your Instagram share, so I can see your haul. Even better if you include a photo of your pup or kitty!
