Tips to Pamper Dad for Father’s Day

There is so much on the internet about moms needing pampering, and how to pamper mom. Does your family also make efforts to pamper dad? Dads need some good ol’ pampering too, even though it may not be common for them to ask for it. My husband rarely asks for a neck and shoulder rub, or “me time”, but when I offer it, he jumps at the opportunity. If you have a husband or dad in your life that is so great at taking care of everyone else, but not necessarily himself, consider these tips to pamper dad for Father’s Day. He may have a difficult time accepting a little TLC at first, but it will be well worth it. 

Instead of giving coupon books to dad, which he is expected to redeem (for things like foot rubs, back rubs, nap time, etc), I suggest using these printable Father’s Day coupons and showing it to him, but then you or the kids be in charge of issuing out the coupons. You can print it as a sheet, or cut them out and create a little notebook. If the dad in your life isn’t good about taking time for himself, then he may need to be told to do it. My husband likes the idea of the Father’s Day coupons, but he won’t ever ask for redemption. He just doesn’t like asking to be taken care of. At the end of a long day, or just as a surprise, tell dad when it’s time to redeem a coupon. Sometimes they need to be forced to pamper themselves and it will pay off as they’ll be more relaxed and in a better mood for everyone.
