Hey there, I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Emily, the voice behind Clever Housewife, which is a lifestyle blog I started back in 2010. What began as a space to share household tips, recipes, and mom-life hacks has grown and evolved right along with me.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—wife, mom, homemaker, pianist, friend, and writer. I earned my degree from BYU-Idaho, and while my roots run deep in structure and tradition, life had other plans. Recently, I made the life-changing decision to step away from the high-demand religion I was raised in, and that shift has opened up a whole new world of self-discovery.
Now, I’m exploring what it means to truly live life on my own terms. You’ll still find the cozy, clever content you’ve come to expect here, but mixed in with new conversations—ones about freedom, identity, creativity, and joy.
When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me playing the piano (it’s my therapy), dancing like no one’s watching at a festival, or savoring life’s simple, beautiful moments.
This blog is still about real life—but now with a little more soul.
Thanks for being part of my journey. 💗
