Bite-Sized Dutch Apple Pies

Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter cut into cubes
  • Up to 1/4 cup water
Filling
  • 2 apples diced into 1/4 inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
Topping
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Method
 

  1. Make the crust, by combining flour, sugar and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Add butter and crumble into flour mixture until completely blended.
  3. Form into ball adding water 1 tbsp at a time only as needed to form a solid dough.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into circles with 6 inch diameter.
  5. Use dough circles to line the individual holes of an ungreased mini muffin pan to form individual crusts.
  6. Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl to create the filling. Spoon into individual crusts about 3/4 of the way full.
  7. Mix flour, sugar and oatmeal in small bowl. Add melted butter and combine to form streudel topping. Sprinkle on individual pies.
  8. Bake at 425° for 10-12 minutes or until topping starts to brown
