Begin by cooking the red velvet cake, per the instructions on the box.
When cake is cooling, prepare the popcorn.
Pour the popped popcorn into a large bowl, while keeping out any unpopped kernels.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave, in 30 second increments, until smooth, then drizzle over the popcorn. Stir to coat.
Dump the popcorn out onto a sheet of waxed paper. Sprinkle the cake crumbs over the warm melted chocolate covered popcorn. Carefully stir/turn to coat, if desired.
Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.
