Hootie Creek Cookies

Hootie Creek Cookies

Alright everyone – I had several requests last night, for my Hootie Creek Cookies Recipe! They are so tasty, that they were devoured super fast. I made these for church and just had a few at home for us to eat.
Here it is, and I’ve even included coupons at the bottom, you can use on the ingredients!

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
1 cup butter – softened
1 Tbs. light Karo syrup
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup Craisins
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped (can omit if desired)

Beat butter, eggs & vanilla in a bowl until fluffy. Add all dry ingredients. Mix slowly until well blended. Stir in Craisins, white chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased or parchment lined cookie sheet. Cookies don’t spread too much. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until edges start to brown. Cool on cookie sheets, then remove to wire rack. These are beautiful, full bodied cookies (the Karo is a secret ingredient for a moist drop cookie).

Coupons to use:

  • $.50/2 Nestle Toll House Morsels
  • $.50/2 2-4lb Arm & Hammer Baking Soda

I’d love to hear if you try these, and what you think!!!

Interesting tip about the Karo syrup! I have other cookie recipes that I might have to try that in. (And these sound delish too!)

these are absolutely fantastic. I have made them several times for church functions and Christmas. Everyone loves them. They stay fresh and moist and are so different from other recipes. Thank you for sharing.
