As a very busy mom, I really look forward to play dates with my girlfriends, and their kids. We are often looking for fun new things for the kids to do, while we eat and visit with one another. I try to get together with my girlfriends once per week, but sometimes we have to stretch it out to every two weeks.

To go along with our pirate theme, I went to Sam’s Club and purchased a large box of Pirate’s Booty snacks – which is Little Girl’s FAVORITE! I used the pirate’s chest that I received, to put the kids’ snacks, eye patches, telescopes, and gold coins. One of my girlfriend’s and I set up a fun treasure hunt in my backyard. The weather was perfect for it, and the kids were so excited.
We used the provided gold coins, coconuts, telescopes and such as markers in the yard – which corresponded to the treasure map. The kids finally made their way to the hidden treasure chest. The kids divvied up the goodies, and made their way into the house, to watch Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns!
I don’t know if you can tell, but the kids had a blast! I was so glad the weather cooperated – it was a perfect day! Jake and the Never Land Pirates is such a cute show on the Disney Channel. I love the messages and entertaining characters from the show; as do the children. After the movie was over, the kids each colored pictures of the different characters from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. I also sent some of the activity sheets, with my friends, so they could have continued fun at home!
