Triple Berry Sauce: Healthy Desserts Without Compromising Flavor

 Triple Berry Sauce

Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I am working on #bringingsexyback. I recommitted myself to getting healthy and getting my confidence and body back. I really lost myself at the end of my marriage, and I am none too happy about allowing someone to have such power over me and my health. I turned to food to cope for things out of my control. I am here to tell you that it is possible to overcome that phase, and to take control of one’s health. I am doing that now by exercising regularly, and by controlling what I put in my mouth. I wouldn’t say I am following the clean eating diet to the T, but I’m pretty darn close. If it doesn’t grow or comes from the earth, then I’m thinking twice about putting it in my mouth.

By doing the 21 Day Fix with Beachbody, I am also learning to really flavor my food, and to enjoy what I’m eating. If a diet is bland and boring then it is difficult for me to follow it. Because I do have a sweet tooth, I have been looking at healthier alternatives to desserts made with sugar. We can always use more healthy desserts right? There may be phases where sweets are not allowed in a diet, but when they are, I have found that Monk Fruit In The Raw is a nice alternative to sugar. Monk Fruit In The Raw is a wholesome, zero-calorie sweetener, made with real fruit. It has a simple, sweet taste that can be used in any recipe that calls for sugar. I found it very fitting that I should come up with a recipe using Monk Fruit In The Raw, now as I work on my health and fitness goals, but also since September is Childhood Obesity Month.

Triple Berry Sauce

For dessert this week, I created a Triple Berry Sauce that would be delicious served over just about anything! The kids gave the sauce a 10 out of 10 for flavor, and I love that they were actually eating berries without realizing it so much! I’m thinking pancakes, frozen yogurt, etc. would all be yummy underneath this thick and flavorful sauce.

Monk In The Raw comes in packets and a Bakers Bag. In addition to this very tasty Triple Berry Sauce I concocted, you can find recipes and culinary tips for Monk Fruit In The Raw can be found at https://www.intheraw.com/. You can also follow In The Raw on Facebook.
