Date Night with Groupon Local

by Emily Buys 1 Comment

This post brought to you by Groupon Gift Shop. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Clever Housewife.

Over the past two weeks, I have been giving some gift ideas that involve experiences and creating memories that last lifetime. I have purchased a glass blowing class for my brother and sister-in-law, an evening of roller skating for my kids, and finally a date night with Groupon local, for myself and a lucky fella. I’ve yet to decide which lucky man will get to go on this date with me, but it is happening!

Allowing myself to shop for something fun that I get to experience is so exciting. As I keep saying, I believe it’s just our memories we take with us when we die, so experiencing new things is really important to me. I handpicked what I think will be a really fun date night. I debatd the day of skydiving, but went with something a little less dramatic. I will be going on a Trail Ride with picnic, around Folsom lake.

I haven’t been horseback riding since I was a little girl, and never around a lake or with a hunky man. Because there is a picnic to go along with the riding, I thought it would be fun to present the date with a warm blanket and the Groupon voucher tucked inside. We could use a little warmth since this will be an outdoor date in Winter. I hope my date enjoys it as much as I know I will!

Don’t forget to treat yourself to something fun during the holidays. We all work so hard, and we deserve a little R&R. Plus, pick up a fun experience on Groupon local, for those you’re gifting to!
