Breadsticks
So this picture is not my actual breadsticks, but the closest I could find. I didn’t have time today to whip these up, but I wanted you to have the recipe. I got this one from my MIL and we all LOVE them!! They are delish!
Breadsticks
1 1/2 cups hot water
2 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs dry yeast
1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups flour
Dissolve sugar in the hot water. When cooled to warm, add the yeast and dry milk (can substitute regular milk for water and dry milk if needed). Stir in the flour and salt, and knead for 3 minutes.
Melt 1/3 cup margarine in 9×13 inch glass baking dish. Roll dough to size of the pan, and cut in half crosswise, then in several strips lenthwise. Make about 8-10 breadsticks. Dip each piece in the melted butter in pan and lay them in the pan. Sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese, cinnamon and sugar, or whatever else you may like on yours.
Let rise for about 15 minutes. Bake at 250* for 20-25 minutes.
