So, as I posted last Tuesday, my family and I went on a VERY last minute trip to Disneyland. We decided about Monday afternoon that we’d drive down Tuesday evening and play all day Wednesday, then come home Thursday. My husband Aaron goes to school about 2.5 hours south of where we live (he lives there during the week). We stopped by his school and picked him up at 5PM and headed down to the Happiest Place on Earth!
It was kind of neat because we decided to surprise the kids. I was shocked they didn’t ask us the whole way there, “where are we going??” They didn’t know until Wednesday morning, where we were! It was about 8-9 hours of driving each way for the kids and me. I kind of wanted to teach the kids that it’s okay to pick up and be spontaneous once in a while. Aaron did miss a day and a half of school, but hopefully he got enough studying in this weekend to make up for it. I did most of the driving so he could study as well. In case you haven’t heard, he’s in Chiropractic school for the next 2.5 years. His degree in Construction isn’t very useful to us right now.
Anyway, back to the trip… I think MY favorite part was getting to see my youngest, Brielle, meet Tinkerbell! She is in LOVE with fairies already at 20 months. I also LOVED that all my boys were able to go on Soarin’ over California with me. They don’t care much for roller coasters so that was as big as it got. I loved spending time with my family and experiencing new things. Here are a few pictures:
My two middle children Carter and Brechin (they’re 5 year old twins)
My oldest, Kelman, who is 7 years old.
My youngest, Brielle, who is almost 21 months!
