VTech has come up with a great Touch Learning System for young children called the MobiGo. It’s designed for children ages 3-8 and encourages the development of dexterity-based skills by shifting between touch-based games and keyboard-based games. It also promotes the development of problem solving, spelling, grammar, observation skills and mathematics. The MobiGo Touch Learning System is perfect for little hands and tough enough to withstand the abuse and pre-schooler can dish out.
New games may be downloaded by connecting the MobiGo device to a computer using the provided USB cable and installing the VTech download manager. Parents can select a wide range of games based on their child’s skill level, and can change the games as their child grows and develops. They can also log onto Vtech’s website to download performance information and progress.
The MobiGo comes with a touch screen and a slide-out Qwerty keyboard. I would recommend an AC adapter and headphones, as you can burn through batteries fairly quickly, and headphones would be nice for those long car rides. The games are fun and seem to hold my kids’ attention. The graphics are great and engaging for youngsters. I would recommend purchasing the MobiGo Game Storage, so you can store more memory which will hold your downloads and not lose them when the game system is turned off. I would also recommend using the learning progress function on the website to track your child’s progress with other like users.
The MobiGo happens to be on sale on Amazon for $39.99. This is a great price, as I was at Target today and they were on sale for $49.99 there. There are some great prices on the MobiGo games as well.
One of the best things about the MobiGo is that kids can emulate their parent’s electronic gadgets, but have more success with the kid oriented games and programs such as Shrek, Disney Princesses and Dora!
I also like the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit that help hold it in place on a hard surface without sliding around. The soft rubber that surrounds the hard-molded plastic makes it easy for little hands to grip. This device will surely spark your child’s imagination while encouraging learning and skill development.
One lucky Clever Housewife reader will win a MobiGo! Unfortunately this will not arrive before Christmas, but the giveaway will end at 11:59pm EST on 12/23. So, you will at least know by Christmas if you have won! To enter, please fill out the Rafflecopter form below. Some entries are worth more than others.
I received a promotional item to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Jeni Mitchell says
What I want most for Christmas this year honestly is for a very peaceful Christmas day at my parents’. Yes the gifts are nice, but what is more important to me is that when all the family is together, we are all happy, loving, and having fun. Also, I’d like it to be more stress-free on my mom. I guess if I could maybe ask for one more thing it would be for my nieces to continue to be the precious little girls they are and for them to continue to put the smile on our faces that they do.

If I were to be totally selfish and could get exactly what I wanted I would love to win the lottery for like $5000- enough to pay off all our back bills, put some towards a better running car and replace my wedding ring that i lost in November. But I really just want my kids to have an awesome day and to understand a bit more about the reason we celebrate Christmas.

First & foremost I would love a new back & to lose about 50 lbs., but being Santa cannot bring that for me I would love to win this toy for my grandson so he’ll finally warm up to me. He’s so standoffish to me that sometimes it just breaks my heart & one of these is just out of my budget & a kind Santa told me what he said he wanted. Oh boy am I in trouble. 🙁
