Just a reminder, or if you haven’t heard, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST returns to theatres for the first time in 3D on January 13th! Until Tangled came along, Beauty and the Beast was my all time favorite Disney movie. As part of my War Horse Disney/Dream Works trip in early December, we ended our NYC stay with a pre-screening of Beauty and the Beast in 3D.
As we sat in some very cozy chairs and ate delicious boxed lunches, we were taken back to the same beautiful story of Belle and the Beast, and the importance of inner beauty, we got a new look on the beautiful landscapes and visually pleasing images of Beauty and the Beast. Getting to see Beauty and the Beast on the big screen was so exciting because it was a first for me. I remember when Beauty and the Beast came out in 1991 (can you believe it has been that long?), and how I instantly fell in love with it! Music always grabs my heart and the music in this Disney film is just extraordinary – I love every song!! Watching the dishes sing and dance to “Be Our Guest” was so fun on the big screen, and with all of the detail with the 3D. That is one of my favorite scenes because it is just so beautiful and spectacular.
Belle has always been my favorite princess because she is portrayed as being very smart and witty. I love the introduction with Belle wandering through town singing the Belle song; now with sharp and vibrant colors and detail. I am not typically a huge fan of 3D because the glasses can sometimes give me a headache, but we had the best glasses ever so I was able to enjoy every bit of Beauty and the Beast. I really do think that the 3D picks up more detail than I ever noticed before.
I can’t wait to take my little Belle (one of little B’s many nicknames) to see Beauty and the Beast because I know she will love it. She’s already got a Belle Barbie Doll and a Belle Princess Baby Doll.
To make viewing Beauty and the Beast on the large screen EVEN BETTER is that there is a new Tangled Ever After short preceding the movie. It is fabulous, and Maximus (the horse) is just a hoot!
Be sure to “Like” BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on Facebook, to stay up to date on all of their happenings.
To get you excited and ready for the movie and the short, you can view a clip of Tangled Ever After below. The movie comes out tonight so be sure to make a family date of it and see Beauty and the Beast and Tangled Ever After, together.
*I got to view the pre-screening of Beauty and the Beast as part of a sponsored trip by Disney/Dream Works.
