Cream Cheese Stuffed Waffles with Topping

I was out of ideas for dinner tonight so I thought I would whip up some waffles, but I didn’t wany any ol’ ordinary waffles! I thought I’d see if I could concoct a simple cream cheese stuffed waffles, and it worked! Keep reading to see how to make some very easy Cream Cheese Stuffed Waffles, topped with Cream Cheese and Jam! These turned out to be so tasty, but I had to limit myself to just a couple of bites, because I’m dieting. Ah, so tempting!

Cream Cheese Stuffed Waffles

Waffles, cooked and ready
8 oz Cream Cheese
5 Tbs Butter, softened
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Jam, optional
Powdered Sugar for sprinkling

Make your favorite waffles, per whichever instructions you decide to follow. I just used a Krusteaz mix.

Prepare your cream cheese filling by mixing together your cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla, with a hand mixer.

Reserve about 1/2 cup of the cream cheese filling and mix it with 1/4 cup jam (whichever kind you prefer). I use this to top my waffles, but it is optional. You can also use the strawberry/cream cheese mixture as your filling, which would be very yummy!

Lightly spread the cream cheese filling on top of one cooked waffle, and top with another waffle.

Place your newly made Waffle sandwiches on a Panini Press, if you have one. You can omit this step, or cook carefully in a frying pan. I like this step because it crisps the waffles slightly and makes the filling all warm and running. Just cook/crisp for a few minutes.

Remove your stuffed waffles from the Panini Press and sprinkle with Powdered sugar. You can stop at this step, or top with the cream cheese and jam mixture.

YUMMY! Enjoy!
