The other event is more comical and involves my easy going, Mr. Mello just older brother. Assigned the task of dog doo-ty in the “dog yard,” he’d filled a generic black garbage bag full, and proceeded to drag, rather than carry the bag across the wood deck and across the lawn to the garbage bins. Needless to say, there was bag failure and he’d left a trail of dog business where it was going to be everyone’s business! Mr. Mello had a classic meltdown! Picking up once was bad enough, now he had to “doo” it again.
Such stories would not be part of our family history if we’d had Glad ForceFlex bags in our clean-up arsenal. These bags can handle whatever life throws your way – glass or poo dooty! The Diamond Texture stretches to prevent rips and tears. They can also hold an amazing load of trash. The drawstring makes closing easy and dependable.
Glad also has Glad Odor Shield Black Bags that neutralize odors in your stinkiest trash. I can testify these are a lifesaver for families with kids still in diapers.
Glad Black Bag has teamed up with interior designers, Tracy Hutson and Tanya McQueen, aka the Picker Sisters, to help America celebrate cleaning up those Wild Moments. These gals live by the mantra “one person’s trash is another’s treasure.” They travel across America helping folks learn how to reclaim trash and turn it into a treasure. Along the way, they discovered that some of the best finds are the ‘remnants’ of life’s wild moments.
Glad Black Bag is also working with Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanups across the country to collect items that will be used by celebrated mosaic artist, Jason Mecier, to create works of art. By leveraging the Picker Sister’s expertise and partnering with Jason Mecier, four pieces of art will be created and auctioned off during the Glad Black Bag Recycled Art Auction on eBay. Consumers may bid on these reclaimed artworks with proceeds benefiting Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup events. To learn more about Keep America Beautiful or find a Great American Cleanup near you, visit kab.org. The auction takes place between April 16 and April 26. Even if you don’t intend to bid, the artworks are amazing to see.
I’d love to hear some of your generic black bag failures and some of your reclaiming successes.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Glad Black Bag and received a Glad Black Bag product and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. I was also asked to “pin” one (1) Glad Black Bag Art Auction photo on Pinterest.”
