Walgreens #BalanceRewards Program and Mobile Shopping App
For a couple of years now, I have been teaching readers how to shop at Walgreens, and take advantage of their Register Rewards program. Walgreens has come out with a new way to rack up rewards, and save even more on shopping. Not only are there extra savings and rewards with the new Walgreens Balance Rewards program, but you can even shop via the mobile app.
Downloading the app is easy. Once you have the Walgreens app installed on your phone, you will see this pop-up screen that tells you about the newest Walgreens features. The new Balance Rewards program is something worth noting. You can sign up for the Balance Rewards Program in-stores, online and via the mobile app. I enjoy doing things at my own convenience, and from the comfort of my own home, or from the kids’ soccer practice, so I signed up from my phone.
With this new Walgreens Rewards program, you can:
- Save on sale items with your loyalty card
- Earn points on thousands of items each week
- Earn 10 points for every mile you walk with Walgreens
- Redeem instantly with as few as 5,000 points
After learning about the Balance Rewards, I decided to try out the shopping feature of the cool new app. I racked my brain as to what items I might be running low on at home, and came up with the idea to shop for feminine care products.
While shopping, I learned that a variety of Walgreens brand products were Buy One Get One 50% off. I purchased 4 boxes, in different sizes, and continued on shopping. Purchases of $25+ get free shipping, which I think is great.
I added some more Walgreens brand products to my shopping cart, some band-aids, and lastly, some nail polish. I reached my $25 minimum, input my credit card information and voila! Shopping via the Walgreens app is so simple. You can search by brand, name or category. I love that my phone will keep track of all of my rewards, and give me extra Walgreens Savings while shopping from home, or wherever I may be.
