Healthier After-School Snacks with Peeled Snacks

When the schoolbell rings and the kids are out of school, what is the first thing they think about doing? I don’t know about yours, but mine are always eager for a snack, or almost a second lunch! They seem to come home so ravenous! I am often picky about what I allow my kids to eat for an after-school snack, so I was excited to try something new – Peeled Snacks.

You can feel good about snacking on Peeled Snacks, and giving them to the kids because they are made from high quality organic and natural fruits. They are a great source of vitamins, minerals and a FULL serving of fruit with NO ADDED SUGAR! That last part is the kicker right there. How often is it that you can find wholesome foods with no added sugar of any kind? I am always amazed at how many ingredients are in the foods I shop for, so I love that Peeled Snacks keep it to the basics. You absolutely know what you are getting. I am looking at the bag of apples and the ingredient list is this: organic apples. Not only are Peeled Snacks great and natural for the kids, but adults love ’em too. They are even Oprah’s afternoon delight!

Peeled snacks come in single-flavor pouches, variety pouches or in Apple Clusters. I quite enjoyed the variety bag of mango, pineapple and dried bananas. The mango was a bit tough for me, but the pineapple was so good and sweet, and I am always a fan of dried apples. They were not the crispy banana chips that you may be used to. These were soft and sweet, and so nummy.

The kids are quite fond of the Apple Clusters, which are diced organic apples pieces, rolled into tasty clusters for a new crunchy snack bursting with natural flavor.
Peeled Snacks are now available in select Whole Foods Markets in Northern California! You can also find them in other select stores, as well as their online shop!

One Clever Housewife reader will win a $25 prize pack with a variety of Peeled Snacks. The giveaway will end at 12:01am ET on 10/23. To enter, please fill out the rafflecopter below.
