As March approaches I start longing for some warmth. While I love curling up on the couch, in a blanket, there is something about the warm sun beating on your face and arms, while eating some good ol’ BBQ. Because I live in California I CAN grill throughout the year, but I’ll be honest – it doesn’t happen much during the Winter months. I start really craving my garden veggies and grilled hamburgers, by the time Spring rolls around.
Hubby and I agreed to work on a partial remodel for the kitchen, which is in the works right now. I’m getting granite slab countertops, a new sink and faucet. The appliances and cabinet makeover will have to wait. As the warm days approach I have a feeling I know what project will be next!! While my backyard is mostly landscaped, I still do not have any type of shade structure. I have a patio set that was given to us, but it’s not all that nice. Until I get a shade structure, I can’t see myself spending much time in the backyard. It gets hot in Northern California! Believe you me though, this does not keep me from grillin’! Hopefully by the end of the Summer the family and I will be enjoying our grilled meals out back!
