Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience: A Captain No Beard Story

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carole P. Roman for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Just this past December I shared information regarding Carol P Roman’s children’s book “Captain No Beard: An Imaginary Tale of a Pirate’s Life”. Captain No Beard is an adventure tale geared toward boys and girls ages 3-8, and right up my kids’ alley. Carol P. Roman tells exciting and engaging stories that kids can relate to. In Captain No Beard stories, you can always find an educational message for children, and a lesson of camaraderie and team work.

I am happy to announce that there is a new character to join the Captain No Beard crew! Meet Pepper Parrot in the new book, Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience: A Captain No Beard Story. As you can tell by the title, Pepper Parrot has a problem with patience. When she joins the crew, she has a difficult time understanding the pirate terminology, but even more than that, she has a hard time following instructions because she struggles with knowing her right from her left. With the help of Hallie, the ship’s first mate, Pepper Parrot learns some tips and tricks solve her problem. Carol P. Roman uses this cute story of the frustrated parrot to teach some lighthearted tricks for aiding struggles with dyslexia. I love how these stories always encourage teamwork and to help one another out. I can’t wait to see what story the author comes up with next!

To tell you a bit about the author, Carole P. Roman is a former teacher turned businesswoman, where she successfully ran a family business with her husband. Her favorite job is that of being a grandmother. While living in Long Island with her husband, Carol plans to start an educational series that explores different cultures from a child’s point of view. I think that Carol is off to a great start after receiving the Kirkus Review in 2012, for Captain No Beard: An Imaginary Tale of a Pirate’s Life. I am excited to see what else Carol has up her sleeve!

  • Emily, This isnt a comment on what you posted today, I have a question. Jenny and I recently went on a business trip to a conference in Miami South Beach and stayed in a ‘cool’ hotel in the art deco district. Well, I was pretty underwhelmed with the accomodations considering what we payed. I have a critical eye and there were some very specific things that I think were ‘off’ but I also noticed what they did well. Is there some official website for writing reviews for places that you stay? I would like to write a review but if I just post it on Jennys blog it will get little to no airplay. What are your suggestions.
