I just love being able to shop and get fed all at the same time! Sam’s Club is a great place to do some shopping around lunchtime because there are tons of samples, which often count as my lunch, and I can kill two birds with one stone. Ever since my accident nearly two weeks ago, I haven’t been out and about. I have been pretty much laid up in bed, and at home, except for when I head out to the chiropractor (or hospital to see my dad). I have even had meals brought in for my family from some sweet ladies from church. It has been a particularly rough week. Because I didn’t want to put too many people out with continuous meals brought in, I decided we needed some EASY foods for the weekend.
For my first shopping trip out since my accident, I took my oldest and my youngest to Sam’s Club, to help me out with some shopping. I got my big boy out of school around lunchtime because he has been having a bit of a rough time with his mom and grandpa laid up, all while dad is away. Not only did my son get some time with mom, but I also had him to help push the shopping cart because I’m still very weak.
Sam’s Club was the perfect place to head for an outing because they had so many yummy samples! We got to try a couple of varieties of cake, fruit, and of course, these Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries. The lady giving the demonstration was super sweet and was showing off the fact that the Chicken Fries come in two pouches, all in the same resealable bag. So convenient! I just knew these would make for a quick chicken dinner that everyone would enjoy. I just needed a yummy dipping sauce to pair with them!
I decided to go with a homemade Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce, which is super easy and I have most of the ingredients on hand. I’m sure you do too! I couldn’t pass up looking at the clothes too! I am traveling to Virginia next week after all, and need to look great even if I don’t feel great!
Since I’m still too weak to slave over a hot stove, it was so unbelievably nice to just pop these Tyson Chicken Fries into the oven and mix up some honey, mustard, and mayonnaise, for a yummy dipping sauce! There are no exact measurements as I recommend adding amounts to taste, but here is a good start that you can build on:
2 Tbs mayonnaise
1 Tbs mustard
1 Tbs honey
The meal was a complete hit for everyone! I was able to go and lay down and let dad clean up from and incredibly easy dinner! Isn’t it just so nice when dinner comes together in a flash on those busy or difficult days? You can see more pictures of my shopping trip and recipe in my Google+ Album. Keep an eye on the Tyson facebook page because soon you will be able to win free Six Flags tickets for a family vacation!
