Mombo Nursing Pillow Giveaway

By my fifth child, you would think that I was an old pro at breastfeeding.  The fact of the matter is I had too many problems breastfeeding my four older children and I never made it more than a few weeks.  So when my fifth, and last baby was born this past January, I was determined to breastfeed him.  

When my second child was born, I purchased a breastfeeding pillow which is the same pillow I was going to use with my new little one, even though by now it had lost most of it’s stiffness.  So when the opportunity came to try out the Comfort & Harmony Bright Starts Mombo™ Deluxe Pillow, I had to jump on it!



My first impression of my new nursing pillow was that it was quite stiff. This was good and bad.  The stiffness helps support the baby, however, at first the pillow would slip off of my waist while I was breastfeeding. Before I knew it, my son was resting only on the ends of the pillow.  Luckily after several uses, it loosened up and I am now able to make it stay where I want it.



One of the best features of the mombo nursing pillow is the two sided design called Firm2Soft™.  One side of the pillow is firm, meant to be used while breastfeeding.  This, I think, gives you and the baby more support.  Being that this is my first time really being able to breastfeed, the firm side has helped me get my son latched on correctly.





The other side of the pillow is soft.  This is meant to be used for laying the baby on or doing some tummy time.  My little one has never enjoyed lounging in a nursing pillow for very long, but this one has been a great asset for our tummy time!



I also really like the cover on the pillow. The mombo has an assortment of pillow styles and slipcover fashions. On the firm side, the material is thin and breathable; a great plus for breastfeeding because my son sweats big time!  On the soft side of the pillow, the material also is very soft.





The last notable thing about this pillow is that is comes with a small box that inserts into the pillow, When the box is turned on, it provides baby with some soothing vibrations. Relaxation time!

Overall, I LOVE this nursing pillow!  My absolute favorite thing about it is the extra support the firm side gives to me and my son while breastfeeding, making breastfeeding easier, at least for me and my determination!

    I would love to win this for me. I’m due with baby #3. Baby #1 I breastfed for about 4 months out of necessity. Baby #2 I was only able to breastfeed for a few weeks. I’d love to be able to go to at least a year with baby #3.

    A nursing pillow is a wonderful thing to get. As I’m expecting my second I would love to have one. With my first I was actually given two boppy pillows, sadly for whatever reason they did not work with me or my child. I ended up giving them away and had some luck with a decorative pillow.I’m so glad I can enter to win this mumbo, wanting to buy a nursing pillow but can’t bring myself

    I just had my third baby and I’m still on the search for the perfect nursing pillow. With baby #1 I tried the Boppy but I wasn’t impressed. I had to use additional pillows to keep it in position. Also the filling slowly shifted into the center and out of the ends. With baby #2 I bought a My Breasfriend pillow and I liked it a little better. Because it clips on the side it stayed in place better but it was too thin. I love that it was memory foam though. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of the Mombo pillow. It sounds awesome and I would love to try it 🙂

    Having given birth a month ago and still trying to get the hang of breastfeeding, this would really be helpful. Using regular pillows don’t always work too well plus as the baby grows, it can be used for tummy time and to help sit up.
