I was asked to try Microsoft Office 365 and the new OneNote by One2One Network, to discuss how trip planning is made easy. All opinions expressed are my own.
While traveling is one of my favorite things to do, trip planning is not at the top of my list. I agonize over the best prices and the best places to go and to sleep. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I check Expedia, Priceline, Kayak, etc. to look at hotels and flights, and compare pricing. I check them over and over again because it takes forever for me to make a decision – because I don’t want to make the wrong one; and I can never remember where I found which pricing! It can be quite frustrating. Then I am constantly looking up reviews for attractions and locations, and the list goes on.
Well, I discovered something super cool that can help with all of my future trip planning! I’m actually giving it a try for my upcoming NYC trip! has some very useful features and tools that are intended to keep you more organized when it comes to planning. We all know how awesome Microsoft Office already is, but the (free download courtesy of Microsoft office 365) can be completely customized to aid you in planning your next trip or dream vacation! This is all another part of Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium and you will love it!
Because of my dilemma of the constant internet surfing for good prices, restaurants, locations, etc., the feature that I love the most about the is that it can be used to organize all vacation notes, reservations, confirmations, directions, website links (even screenshots)! After all, that searching is eventually going to turn into confirmations and reservations that I don’t want to get lost. If you’ve ever seen my inbox, you know how crazy it can get and those confirmation emails can get buried mighty fast! Not only can you store everything in OneNote, but you can use SkyDrive to access those documents from just about anywhere, including your mobile device! Scan in your passport and immunization records, and you’ll have them all right there when you need them!
To give you an idea of how easy it is to take and save notes while browsing, this screen just pops up and you can type your notes and hit save.
The Send to OneNote just sits in your task bar, when needed, and you can select from Screen Clipping, Sending to your OneNote, or writing a quick note. I love how these options are right at your fingertips for easy planning and organizing, all at once! I am not the most organized person so these tools really do save me some time and agony!
Some other cool features:
- Collaborate with family members on where to go and what to before or even during your trip by sharing your notes with one another
- Import Excel spreadsheets to manage your trip budget.
- Use SkyDrive to save your OneNote notebook, so that you can access all of your information from anywhere, even when you’re on-the-go.
- While traveling, take notes and photos of places you really enjoyed (or places to avoid) to include when you’re ready to blog about your trip.
I feel like there is so much more I can share about Microsoft Office 365 and OneNote, but there is only so much space and time! This version of Office is even way more amazing than any other version I have tried! So many options to choose from right when you open it up; such as creating an award, birthday card, document, etc. Something else that you will love is that with Microsoft Office 365, you can have one program and install it on up to 5 devices!!
Luckily ONE OF YOU will get to try it all out for FREE, for one full year! That’s right! I’m giving away a one-year subscription ($99 value) off Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium! Giveaway will be open worldwide and will end at 11:59pm PDT on 6/30. To enter, fill out the form below.

I think this is great- even if you don’t get out much from the area. I would likely use it to post about the destinations near my home. I live in Central Florida so there are a LOT of destinations tourists pass up when they head to the Mouse House and Orlando. So many beautiful gems just waiting outside of the crowds… real Florida.
