I just found a fast and easy way to get all my floors cleaned. I was sent a Shark Sonic Duo to review, and one to give away! I have a lot of floor to cover and now I have no more mop bucket or sink full of dirty water to deal with. I’ve tried several different methods to get my kitchen and family room hard floors clean – all involving lots of muscle and elbow grease. Well, never again! The Shark Sonic Duo has the scrubbing power of 1,000 scrubs with literally the light touch of the hand.  No pushing or twisting to get stuck on dirt and grime – the power of the Shark does it for you.

The Shark Sonic Duo comes with a variety of scrubbing pads that attach easily to the bottom of the unit. It also comes with wood or hard surface cleaner, carpet cleaner and carpet spot treatment. The highly concentrated cleaning solution is poured into the bottle along with the correct amount of water, attached to the unit by slipping it easily into the slot, then you’re ready to go. With the flick of a switch and the press of a button, the cleaning solution is sprayed onto your floor as the Sonic Duo gently glides across the surface. I really like the two lights at the base of the unit that shine onto the floor, guiding the way to cleanness. My floors were clean in half the  time and I didn’t even break a sweat. I was especially relieved to give the unit a try because I’ve been dealing with a bum shoulder and the Shark Sonic Duo did all the work without any strain on me. The very best part comes at the end, when all you do is step on a fabric tab to pull off the cleaning pad, then toss it in the washer! No muss, no fuss and no bucket of nasty water to empty.

I then gave the Sonic Duo a whirl on my hallway carpet – the trap for all outside dirt and grime. I’ve got to admit, I was a bit skeptical that the scrubbing action could meet the challenge without any steam extraction. I routinely have my carpets  cleaned twice a year by a professional company using the steam extraction method. I’m always pleased with the result, but after a few months I’m stressed by the dirt I know is accumulating and have to patiently wait for my next bi-annual cleaning. (I have very light carpet that shows all the tracked in dirt)

No more waiting! The Shark Sonic Duo did the trick. I pre-treated with the spot treatment, used the appropriate pad and went over the worst of the spots, Then I mixed the carpet cleaning solution – right in the bottle provided, attached it and switched the cleaning pads to the one for carpet area. After just a few minutes my hallway was bright and fresh. Since there’s no extraction, I wondered where all the dirt went. After researching, I came to understand that the Shark Sonic Duo Trap & Remove technology unlocks deep down dirt from the carpet fibers so that it can be lifted away when you vacuum. The carpet is dry in just a short time (because you don’t spray massive amounts of water into the carpet) then you easily vacuum up all the released dirt. Magic!

I’ve got to say – I’m impressed. I won’t stop having my carpet professionally cleaned twice a year, but I will enjoy having the carpet looking clean in-between professional cleanings.

The very best part of both processes was placing the cleaning pads into the washing machine so they’re sparkling clean for the next use. No disposing of spent pads, no nasty mop in the corner breeding germs and no back or shoulder pain from all the twisting, turning and wringing out.

    I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds (all rescues) of my own and three cats (also all rescues), and last summer I started my own dog rescue so I typically have a couple of extra dogs at my house (ones that have no idea what housebreaking is, so I’m working on teaching them so they can be adopted).     I have been using a Shark Vacuum for 15 years. I firmly believe in the Shark. I know this floor cleaner will be awesome. I have convinced friends in the past to try the Shark and they have all been happy. I am a believer in a clean floor makes a clean house. I need this floor cleaner, there’s no way I can purchase one.     I been tring 2 find something that can help me keep my floors clean. I have 2 Bulldogs right now, & w/ them in & out of the house, its differiciut 2 clean their paws when they come in. Plus later down the road. We are planning on having puppies, w/ the problems I have w/ my body, I need something easy. Its hard for me 2 clean my house. So please can You help me.     So with 2 dogs, 1 cat and lots of hair from these animals-plus wet dog prints on the floor-this sounds like the best choice in cleaning my wood and tile floors. Heaven knows we all need as much help as we can get.

    I need this because our kitchen is the highest traffic area and the linoleum that was installed has a bit of a texture to it which attracts dirt. It is very difficult to get down in all of the grooves.

    I need this because my hubby is a concrete laborer and he comes home soooo dirty and tracks dirt all over the house…not to mention the dirt our dog drags in!     I just have to win this for my Mom, she is 81 and this would be so helpful to her for keeping her carpets and floors clean. She has both dogs and cats and it is an on going battle. This would make things so much easier on her.

    I would so love to have the new shark, I have an old one that was given to me and I had
    to buy a replacement bottom for it and the magnets that hold it on no longer worked so I never even had a chance to use it. Arthritis in the fingers make it had to use a mop and even harder on scrubbing by hand.

    Nearly all my floors are hardwood or ceramic tile. I have so little time for cleaning them that I need a fast, easy, effective piece of equipment like the Shark. I have read a lot of good reviews for it so I think it is the one for me.
