“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Clearasil, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SuperFruits http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO. Beat acne woes with Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Cleansers.”
My skin has gone through a rigmarole of changes since those pre-pubescent years. Some of those changes have been for good, and others have made me want to scream and go into hiding! During those late high school years and into early college, my skin was bad enough that it was affecting my confidence. It wasn’t terrible by comparison to some, but it was bad enough that I was insecure about it. As a result I got on accutane, which is no longer legal in the US. It definitely cleared up my skin, whilst drying it out. Then I’d say that my skin was pretty free and clear of any acne or really dry skin for about 7 years.
After having a few children and getting older, my skin was in desperate need of a moisturizer. I have never been one who has an in-depth skin care regime that I HAVE to follow on a daily basis. However, I do apply facial moisturizer on a daily basis. About two years ago, my skin went through even more changes, and not so great of ones at that. For the past two years I have dealt with many breakouts, which usually arise around the sides of my chin. I’m desperate to beat acne as an adult because been there, done that! From research I have done, it sounds like this type of breakout is most commonly associated with stress. Uh, yeah, that makes sense. Just a wee bit of stress here! I also get a few pimples here and there, at different times throughout the month. Between hormonal changes, age, and loads of stress, my skin has not been super happy.
1-2 weeks out of the month, I have breakouts that once again make me more insecure and frustrated. It really shouldn’t be that way, and I wish it wasn’t, but it is. I have found that by using certain products, and using makeup in the right ways, I can minimize the length of time that pimples stay on my face, and minimize their appearance. To help my oily/dry combination skin and to beat acne, I recently started using a new Clearsail product: Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Scrub. So far I am happy with the results. While the product is sensitive enough to use it twice a day, I just use it at night before bed.
The Superfruit Cleansers by Clearasil smell so good and contain blends of cranberry and raspberry extracts. I love how creamy it is and how well the beads exfoliate my skin. These products are gently medicated with 1% salicylic acid acne medication to help prevent blemishes, which is what we want right? No more blemishes!
So as far as my skin care routine goes, I wake up and shower, using a mild facial soap for my face, then I moiturize. At night, I remove my makeup with makeup remover pads, then with warm water and the Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Scrub, I exfoliate and wash my face. Then I moisturize I again before bed. This helps my skin from being dried out, or too oily. All is well so far, and I have to say that my skin was much better this month than prior months.
Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Cleansers are super affordable at Walmart, which makes my bank account, and husband happy. Thanks for the review. I’ve been meaning to purchase this for my preteen daughter who is starting out with bad acne, however I was worried about the cost.

This is good to know… I typically use Neutrogena’s Grapefruit acne cleansers, which are also great. I may give Clearasil Grapefruit products a try.
