Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One Printer Review
I received an Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One Printer to review and I’ve got to say that I am super impressed! This printer is a very versatile product. It is designed for people who don’t have a lot of table space and/or people who want to print pictures a lot. They even have a tray for smaller sized paper, which is great for photo printing or crafting. No more drugstore trips to print and pick up photos!
The Epson Expression Premium has a memory card slot so you can easily grab photos from your camera’s memory card. An extra bonus is that you can see all of the pictures contained on the card right on the mini LCD screen on the printer’s front. You can also use MAC or Windows to print directly from your computer.
Business
You can use the Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-one printer for business as well as for pleasure. You can choose the scanner glass or the automatic document feeder for copying paper to paper. This printer is even useful as a fax machine, which I am pretty excited about! The touch LCD screen becomes a push pad to type in the fax number of your recipient. You can even hook up a phone and answering machine. This way you can put the printer at one work station from one phone jack. Let’s not forget the scanner feature! I am always having to sign contracts and scan them for email, so this is a much needed feature for me.
The most fascinating thing about the Epson XP-800 printer is the WiFi option that you can connect to your laptop or PC. You can be anywhere in the house and print with the WiFi connection. This is of particular interest to me because I am usually working from my laptop, in various rooms of my house. I don’t have one set office space right now, so I have the printer tucked away on a desk in my large walk-in closet, and I can print no matter what room I am in! I am always amazed at the great strides in technology that we can utilize today, and this product is definitely on the cutting edge. Of course, if want to be more old style you can hook up your PC or laptop to the printer using a conveniently located USB port on the front of the printer.
iPrint
I downloaded an Epson Connect App to my Android, which was free of charge. They also have downloads for Apple products, which I know many of you could use. The Epson Connect website says that you can print documents and pictures while away from your Epson printer. This will come in handle when I’m traveling for work, or for fun, but need to print something while in my hotel room. I won’t have the paper right away, but it will be sitting on my printer waiting for me, for when I get home!
The Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One Printer is by far my favorite printer that I’ve owned to date! I have had 3-in-1 printers before, but they were quite large compared to the compact size of this one. I absolutely love being able to print documents from my bed too! I haven’t had to purchase ink yet so I can’t speak on the cost of ink, but it’s something to think about. I have yet to meet an ink cartridge whose price I liked!
