As a Good Cook Kitchen Expert, I have been asked to participate in Get Stuffed Burger Challenge using the Good Cook Stuffed Burger Press. This is seriously my new favorite kitchen gadget, which inspires all sorts of creativity! The possibilities are endless for foods you can stuff and stuff with. Something I love about the burger press, aside from the obvious, is that there are measurements to tell you how big of a hamburger patty you have: 1/4 lb, 1/3 lb or 1/2 lb burger. Kind of handy to know! It’s easy to get carried away and make some massive patties so watch out!
For the burger challenge, I decided to get really creative with something I had never tried. While shopping at Sam’s Club this week, I spotted their pre-made Berry Salad which always taste amazing. I thought to myself, “hm, I wonder how all of these components would taste in a burger?” So, I put it to the test…
I have never tried berries in or on my burger before so this was quite the adventure. Nor have I ever stuffed a beef burger with chicken! Lots of new things going on. Here is what I did:
Into 1 lb of ground beef, I mixed in 1/3 cup chopped spinach leaves, 3 Tbs halved blueberries, 3 Tbs cup chopped slivered almonds and salt to taste.
I formed one patty and pressed it into the bottom of the burger press. Then using the one end, I created a dip in the middle of my patty. In that divet I placed 2 heaping tablespoons of chopped chicken and bleu cheese crumbles.
Form another patty and place it on top of your filling. Using the press end of the burger press, press down to seal everything together.
Aren’t these patties just large and lovely? By this point I was super eager to see how they cooked up! If you don’t have an outdoor grill, you can grill these up on the cool Cast Iron Square Grill that Good Cook offers. These happen to be 40% off, plus if you keep reading I’ll give you a coupon code for an additional 25% off Burger Tools!
When the burgers were cooked all the way through, I topped them with the sliced strawberries and sweet & tangy salad dressing. My husband was a little apprehensive but oh my, this burger was DELICIOUS! Hubby even ate his entire 1/2 lb burger! The flavors complimented each other so nicely, and I’m glad I decided to top the burger with the berries and dressing, instead of your typical burger fixin’s. It really was like eating a salad in burger form. Yum!

At first seeing the picture of strawberries on a burger, made me confused. But reading this recipe post made me want to try it out too. Looks so good.
