Here’s my cat, Fudgie, here to talk to you about her feelings on the new Fresh Step Odorshield Formula from Sam’s Club.
Meow! My name is Fudgie, and I am the proud owner of the Cox Family. If you decide that you are interested in owning your own family, I will tell you that it is not the easiest job, but if you find the right one, it can be worth it.
My typical day starts by sitting on top of the one we call “mom” about 15 minutes before her alarm goes off. It’s important that I kneed my claws into her and pounce on her every time she moves . This is very important to help wake her up and keep her on track for her daily routine.
Next, I need to sit somewhere on her while she is going to the bathroom and getting herself ready for the day. This is a gentle way to remind her that I am there and need cared for, lest she dares to forget.
After about 3-5 minutes of this she usually will get the hint and get to action in fulfilling her daily duties. At this point I typically start nudging the cat food bag to make sure that mom remembers to fill my bowl; after all, I am practically famished considering I haven’t eaten since my PM feeding time.
Once mom has fed me, I allow her to go about some of the other duties on my to-do list for her, including changing my litter box. Mom calls me a “picky pooper” (sheesh… You really can’t get good help these days can you?) I prefer to say that I am sensitive to smells, and can you blame me? When I use the litter box, I like to feel as though it’s a freshly changed litter box, every time I use it.
Part of mom’s responsibility is to do the purchasing for the family, which includes the cat litter for my box. I let her use her discretion as to when she would like to do this, however I try to let her know which type I prefer.
There are only a few types of cat litter that I find to be acceptable, and all of those types must have some sort of odor blocking technology (like I said, sensitive nose). If mom does not purchase the type of cat litter that I prefer I let her know by simply refusing to use it. She quickly gets the hint!
One of my preferred brands for cat litter is Fresh Step. I like it because my mess is neatly clumped and smells are kept away. Mom recently came home with a new type of Fresh Step with a new Odorshield Formula. She said it is available at a place called Sam’s Club (I certainly hope Sam isn’t some other cat… I would hate to think that she is “moonlighting” on me). As soon as mom opened the bag of this new Odorshield Formula, I could smell the difference. That is because Fresh Step Odorshield Formula has essential oils in it. This new formula also harnesses the power of chlorophyll from plants and uses it as a natural agent for soaking up odors as soon as moisture hits. I showed my approval by politely using it, and with a little bit of luck mom will purchase that kind again.
Now, lest you think having a family is all about making sure your demands are met, I’m here to tell you that its not! There is some give and take involved. If the family makes sure that all of my demands are met, to my satisfaction I allow the family to play with me, give me attention and enjoy the greatness that is me. I try to be very patient with the tiny members of the family (called children) and act amused when they dangle yarn and silly fake mice in front of my face. I also recently allowed them to subject me to a ridiculous trend called “cat bearding” (they took photos of themselves using me as a beard… I can’t really blame them though, my fur is fairly luscious).
All in all, having a family is hard work but someone has to do it! Another fun tip to be sure to tell your owners is that from 9/9-10/31, your owners can get Double Paw Points when they purchase Fresh Step Odorshield Litter at Sam’s Club!
