I have owned dogs for most of my life. Growing up my family bred dachshunds and I have just always had a love for puppies and dogs! When my husband and I started having kids we knew that we would eventually want a dog for our family. I think it is great for kids to grow up learning to love and care for a pet. Dogs can be so loving and loyal and provide some great entertainment sometimes. It took us a while to find the perfect dog for our family, but last year around Thanksgiving we found The One. Wagging their tails in the back of a woman’s car in the Target parking lot, two sisters just begged for my mom and me to take them home. These cuties are Dorkies: part Dachshund and part Yorkie. Love them to pieces! My mom kept one, which has the perfect personality for living with my parents, and one came home with me and my family. They absolutely love to get together for play dates and sometimes even sit at the door begging to see each other. Funny little personalities. I just love my dog, Lucy, and I know she loves me.
How To Get Rid of Fleas & Ticks with PetArmor
I can recount only one time that our dog had fleas when I was a kid, and that was after dog-sitting a friend’s dog. We just never battled them and we were grateful for it. Because Lucy and her sister Chloe were 7 months old when we got them, and they hadn’t had all of their shots, or proper house training, they took some work. I can finally say they are completely house trained, but now there is one nasty thing that we are dealing with and that is FLEAS! Luckily the pups don’t have any ticks that we know of, but we have been bathing and treating for fleas for a couple of months now. These nasty little beasts just won’t leave our dogs alone and it makes me sad to see them itching, so we had to try something new.
I just received to try on our pups and I am eager to see if it will do the trick. I am feeling very hopeful that it will!
Because we have been dealing with the fleas for a bit now, I have done my research on how fleas and ticks live and feed. Summer months can definitely be a problem time for many animals, but many do not realize that these bugs stick around well into the cooler fall season. In fact, some species of ticks, such as the American Dog Tick and the Deer Tick, are more active during the transition into fall. Warm homes don’t scare the fleas away either! Just because your dog is the one itching doesn’t mean you are completely safe either. Ticks carry deadly diseases to humans and pets, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.
Application is super easy. Just part the hair on the back of your dog or cat’s neck and squirt the liquid out of the single use packet.
PetArmor is said to be an effective solution for flea and tick protection for both dogs and cats. It KILLS the four major types of ticks including those that carry Lyme disease. Thank goodness! PetArmor contains the same No. 1 vet-recommended active ingredient Fipronil found in Frontline brand products, and provides the same protection against adult fleas and ticks but is available for significantly less. You all know how much I like to save money, and if I am able to do it and still get fantastic products that do the trick, then even better!
If you and your pet are battling fleas and/or ticks, follow the Pet Armor facebook page and I’m sure you can ask questions on their wall, and they’ll do their best to answer.

This is awesome. I have yet to experience fleas. Our dog is large and generally is an outside dog. I have been thinking about house training her though. This will be handy. Thanks for sharing your cute little doggy!
