“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for McCain Foods. I received a sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.”
Being married to an Idaho boy means there have been a lot of potato dishes throughout our life together. He grew up on spuds and continues to love them. It actually works out quite nicely because I am a big potato fan myself. While I love a good ol’ baked potato, I actually love coming up with different ways to enjoy potatoes.
In case you haven’t been introduced to McCain Potatoes, then I take great pleasure in introducing you now! McCain Potatoes offer the busy person convenience all while offering natural ingredients, flavor, and family appeal! How can one beat that? Convenience and healthy foods are something I want to be signed up for, always!
Depending on what stores you have to shop from will determine the McCain selections that are offered. If you’re lucky you will have a wide selection. Regardless, you won’t be disappointed with what you get to try! In my opinion, any variety of the potatoes are great to eat as is, or you can dress them up. I would often serve their sweet potato fries, Smiles or many other fry varieties, as a healthy side. Sometimes though, I like to get creative and throw them into a casserole or main dish. Tonight for example, I used the Smiles, which are like a french fry with mashed potatoes on the inside (and natural), to top a quick and easy casserole. It was my spin on a Tater Tot Casserole, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes!
My kids LOVE eating the Smiles because delicious bites of goodness wrapped into a smiley face! Obvious reasons to love them right? Well tonight we got to sit around the dinner table, as we do most every night, and enjoy a Smiles Casserole that was topped with Smiley Faces! Aside from the fun we have at dinner, it tasted great too! You can get the recipe below.
McCain Potatoes is running a Facebook Contest where they will select 1 winner each week (8 winners total) to receive a $500 grocery store gift card! Contestants can also check out the Grocery Goodness Giveaway tab for to receive a $1 off coupon off any 1 bag of McCain Potato products! I am so excited that you all can save on your next (or first) McCain Potato purchase! There are so many tasty things you can do with their Whole Baby Skin-On Potatoes!
