A family tradition of mine for the week of Thanksgiving is to hit the movie theater and watch whatever new flick has come our way. So many great movies come out around the holidays and this year is no different. This year’s new movie release is one that the entire family is excited about: Disney’s FROZEN! We have been seeing previews for FROZEN for months, and the kids laugh so hard every time they see Olaf sneeze and lose his head. We have a plan to head to the theater and see FROZEN on Thanksgiving, for what we hope to be, lots of laughs.
In the meantime, I thought I would let the FROZEN excitement build with some new toys and delicious Snowball Cookies. I did a little Walmart shopping to pick up the ingredients for my cookies, and came across some new FROZEN paraphernalia throughout the store. I gathered what I could so we could have a nice family night to celebrate the new movie release.
I thought a talking Olaf would be perfect for my boys – and I was right! They love that each of his pieces parts can be stretched apart – especially that cute carrot nose! I think we just may have to take Olaf to the movie for the kids to snuggle with, but I may have to take his batteries out. I could see that being a bit of a distraction. He repeats lines from the movie, which gets the kids even more excited to see the film!
My daughter has enjoyed some quiet time with the boys at school, while playing with her new Disney FROZEN Busy Book. Okay, okay – I’ve been enjoying the quiet time too! This book is fantastic because you get some of the story through a cute board book, but also 12 figurines and a play mat. Can’t beat the price either!
What the little girl was most excited for is the adorable Elsa dress! I believe some stores are also carrying a dress for Anna. Oh how pretty my Bea looks in this dress. It was a bit itchy for her, so I think we’ll try wearing a white tee underneath next time. She twirled and danced, and felt oh so beautiful all while enjoying some of my yummy Snowball Cookies. These are a great Christmas cookie, but feels very fitting for the whole FROZEN theme and some #FrozenFun!
