Celebrating the Power of YOU with Mom Corps YOU #MC

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Mom Corps YOU. I received a free trial to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

As part of my preschool program, I teach “parent and me” classes for toddlers accompanied by a supporting adult. Through this program I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many different moms. Some are stay-at-home moms, some work from home, some are attending college, some work part time and some work full time and have a spouse, parent or nanny accompany their child to class. While each situation is completely unique, I have found two things that all of these moms have in common. The first is that they all work tirelessly from sun up to sun down, and the second is that they all love their families immensely and want what is best for them. In my opinion, those two things are really what matter, and everything else is just details!

Moms can and do accomplish amazing things, and support everyone in the family while doing it! However, even a super-mom needs someone to support her, so that she can keep up with the daily grind. That is the mission behind Mom Corps YOU… To support you! Mom Corps YOU is a subscription website that offers tools, resources, forums, webinars and support to moms. Many of these resources and tools are specially designed for moms working outside of the home or momtrepreuners, but there are also many resources for stay at home moms, such as articles about health, family life and how to keep your career path open in case you need to re-enter the workplace somewhere down the road. The purpose of all of these resources is to help support moms in living a balanced life despite all of the things that they are juggling.

As a “momtreprenuer” business owner, I found so many useful resources on Mom Corps YOU that would have been so useful when I first started my business. When I first started, I had no experience running a business and had no idea about everything involved in marketing, making a business plan, and keeping track of business costs on top of the time it took to write the lesson plans and teaching the classes myself. It was a lot of work, and a lot trial and error. With the Mom Corps YOU resources such as a business plan guide and a helpful quiz to help determine if being a business owner is right for you, I think that those first few months would have been a lot less rocky!

I still have a lot learn when it comes to being a momtrepreuner and feel like I could really benefit from some additional business courses. However, with all of my other demands I just don’t have the time. That is why I was so excited to take part in the Mom Corps YOU webinar events. These are programs that you can tune in to without needing to leave the house and get a babysitter. I am looking forward to an upcoming webinar about Social Media, as so much of my marketing is done through these platforms.
