Kohl's Valentine's Day Gift Shop

Just two more days before we get to celebrate those we love and cherish! I think every day should be spent loving and caring for those in our lives, but this one special day can be dedicated to celebrating our love in a special way. This is my first Valentine’s Day in a very long time where I don’t have “romantic” plans of any sort. New to single motherhood, I plan to smother my kids with love and goodies throughout the day. No night out, no date, no extravagant meals. What I have planned is a fun and relaxed afternoon and evening with my little loves. There will likely be a movie and a heart-shaped pizza. Maybe some sparkling cider too! Why? Because those are the things that my kids love, and this Valentine’s Day is about them!

My kids have been working on making several of their own valentines for friends and family. I personally have something else up my sleeve. I plan to send my kids on a valentine scavenger hunt. I will have clues from one treasure to another. With each treasure they find, they will have to either eat something, share something, read something or write something. I will be picking up several different goodies, individual Mad Libs activity sheets, gifts and cards, to hide all over the house. Can’t forget the Valentine’s Day decor that will be displaying love in the air.

Valentine's Day Wall Hanging

One of my favorite places to shop for holiday items is Kohl’s. I especially love Kohl’s for holiday decor. They have a nice card selection too! At the Kohl’s Valentine’s Day Gift Shop you can pick up gifts, household items, and decor for the entire family. They have some of the cutest wall hangings for every holiday! The fantastic thing about Kohl’s Valentine’s Day shop is that you can shop in-store or online!

Valentine's Day Dish Towels

After browsing the gift shop, I know just what I need to make my Valentine’s Day plans complete. In addition to the LOVE cards I will be picking out for each of my kids, I just have to pick up these adorable dish towels to “up” the mood in my kitchen! I also spotted a Hearts Waffle Maker, which looks super cool for a fun breakfast. My kids also love breakfast for dinner, so that’s a possibility! I didn’t spot any cutesy stuffed animals online, but I’m sure I can find some while shopping in-store. My daughter is a softy when it comes to cute plush!

There aren’t any gifts that I need for Valentine’s Day. What I really want though, is love and respect in my home! Crossing my fingers! If you are looking to do some spending, then be sure to check out the nice watches and fine jewelry department! If you need some inspiration, or just want to join in for some fun, join the #LoveKohls Twitter Party on Thursday, February 13th from 1:00-2:00PM EST. I’m sure there will be prizes! Follow @Kohls beforehand and join in the fun!
