This Valentine’s Day is going to be a bit different for me than it has been in the past 11 years. This is the first Valentine’s Day in those 11 years where I don’t have a Valentine other than my kids. So what do I plan to do? I plan to romance and love on my kids as much as I can! That means surprising my kiddos with fun little treats and activities throughout the day. Because Valentine’s Day is on a Friday, we can go all out and stay up late watching movies and eating pizza, all while snuggled up under the covers.
I can’t quit just with dinner plans! V-Day is supposed to be special all day long after all, right? I’m already planning the kids’ after-school snack and I think they are going to love it! Nothing says welcome home to your kids better than a snack waiting for them that’s been made with love. I tested it out on my daughter today while the boys were at school, and it was a hit!
My Valentine’s Day Snack involves the TruMoo Chocolate Milk, (you’ve got to try the newest flavor: TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow), strawberries cut to look like hearts, marshmallows and a bit of melted white chocolate. I found some peppermint and white chocolate bits that I melted, but you can use any type of chocolate. When I heard TruMoo had come out with a Chocolate Marshmallow drink, I knew I had to have it! I drove all over town on the hunt for it, but my stores haven’t gotten them in quite yet. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Chocolate Marshmallow Milk through February! So, for my snack I went with the classic TruMoo Chocolate Milk, which can be purchased year-round. You can find TruMoo in the dairy aisle at Target, or Find TruMoo at a store near you.
Now for snack preparations. Begin by taking a clear glass and dipping the rim in just barely melted chocolate. If you want to get really fancy you can then dip in sprinkles. Let chocolate cool and harden before filling the glass full of TruMoo Chocolate Milk or Chocolate Marshmallow Milk.
If you want to add some more pizzazz to the already-tasty beverage, take a skewer and thread the marshmallows and strawberries onto it, and pop it in the TruMoo Chocolate Milk. I purchased the S’more marshmallows because they are already pre-flattened, and I used scissors to shape them into hearts. This is easy to do with the strawberries too. Or you can just serve the marshmallows and strawberries alongside the drink. After all, chocolate and strawberries have always made the perfect pair! Excellent Valentine’s Day snack in my opinion! TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk is made with fresh white milk sourced from regional dairies around the country – pure cocoa and just enough natural sugar to make it taste great. Enjoy and feel good about it! If it’s chilly out, you can even heat the Chocolate Milk up in the microwave and add marshmallows to it!

What a wonderful help this would be. We had an unexpected death and out of town trip which hit our budget hard. This would help with expenses.
