As a mother of 4, I often feel like I am in the kitchen preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, or just doing the dishes and wiping up crumbs. Making dinner night after night can get a tad mundane, so I try to change things up often. Thank goodness for cookbooks, blogs and Pinterest! Because our weeknights get quite busy with extra curricular activities, I typically prepare quick and easy meals and/or casseroles, then save up our family favorites for Sunday dinner. I like to make our Sunday dinners a tad more special. I have more time to cook on Sunday and because it is the start of a new week, I like to get things off on the right foot. Plus, everyone always seems to be starving by the time we get home from church. To give some inspiration for your Sunday dinners I created a collection on Foodie, of 15 Family Favorites for Sunday Dinner.
I browsed Foodie.com, my blog and Pinterest to find some of my kids’ favorite foods. I know that with any of these options I can’t go wrong for a nice Sunday meal. Luckily my kids have similar tastes for the most part, so nobody will complain about any of these meal ideas. That is what makes them family favorites! Wouldn’t you agree that most families enjoy homemade lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and mashed potatoes? Mmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about all of it! If only they were all zero calories too!
I’d love for you to comment below with what meals your family loves! If you were to create a collection on Foodie (you can by the way), what family favorites would you include for Sunday dinners?
