I was asked to be a ScholarShare ambassador, and as such will share my thoughts and information on the program and National 529 Day. Compensation will be received, but all opinions expressed are my own.
Did you know that such a thing as a 529 Day exists? Well, what is that exactly, and why should you be excited? First of all, it would be important to know that a 529 is a College Savings Plan, and I am here to tell you about a very fun promotion that ScholarShare (California’s 529 College Savings Plan) has going on right now. Today is May 29th, which is also the National 529 Day! Makes sense right?
What is going on is that my partners over at ScholarShare are celebrating the fact that it is NEVER too late to open up a 529 plan for your kids, or yourself, and start contributing. You can contribute, and you can have friends and family contribute. Whoever you decide to open an account for will get to use that “savings” for their future in schooling.
How are we celebrating? By offering a 529 Day Sweepstakes where you can enter for a chance to win $2,500 toward YOUR ScholarShare college savings account. Entry is simple and ends tonight so hurry over to the ScholarShare facebook page to enter. You can click below to get there quick!
The sweepstakes will end on Thursday, May 29. The winner will be randomly selected and announced on Friday, May 30.
If you miss getting an entry in, I recommend following their page because they’ve always got fun things and giveaways going on!
