Ever since the first teaser trailer for The Boxtrolls previewed before a movie I was viewing at the movie theater, I knew it was something I just had to see. That first teaser was so endearing and engaging. There aren’t many movies that can get away with a trailer without words, and only music, but I think The Boxtrolls pulled it off nicely. The tune that was picked (I’ve Got the Whole World In My Hands) is simply adorable and for me, combined with the movie footage creates emotions already. Music has a funny way of doing that. It is after all, a universal language.
The first official The Boxtrolls trailer is here, and gives us even more to get excited about. I thought I’d share with you 4 things to learn from a box, which I picked up on just by watching the all new trailer:
- Families come in all shapes and sizes.
- Be brave and don’t hide who you are.
- It is okay to be different, and perhaps even encouraged! After all, one man’s trash can be another man’s treasure. Just think outside the box!
- Stand up for yourself!
