Every mom needs a break once in a while! Even if it means sharing lunch with some girlfriends and having some grown-up conversation while watching the kids play in the McDonald’s playplace; it’s something to lift mom’s spirits. That little bit of change in scenery and chit chat can really do wonders to get mom through the rest of the week. I will freely admit that making lunch is my least favorite meal to prepare. Packing kids’ lunches every day of the school year – ugh! Not only do I get bored with making the same sandwiches day in and day out, but I find it tedious. I don’t enjoy cleaning up bread crumbs constantly either. I really enjoy changing things up, and when I am feeling tired, worn down, or just want some special time with my girl, then we head to McDonald’s!
My baby turned 5 in May which means kindergarten next year! All 4 of my kids will be in school, and while I will appreciate the quiet time at home, I will sure miss my little girl. I truly treasure the sweet moments and mommy-daughter dates we frequently get to have. One of our favorites is when we meet some of her little friends at McDonald’s, and mommy gets to visit with the other moms. I love the playplace at my McDonald’s! It is always so clean and tidy, unlike some fast food place places. There are no giant slides and tunnels, but our play area is full of large foam animals, a giant car to climb in and on, a tree with a tunnel and slide and more! The colors are all so bright, vibrant and inviting. The indoor play area is also super nice for a rainy day.
I can’t forget to mention how I love the changes to the Happy Meal. Because each Happy Meal comes with apple slices, I am actually able to get my daughter to eat them because she knows she won’t get to play until she does. I think the menu has definitely taken a turn in the right direction. I know some people get concerned about the food quality, nutrition, and practices of McDonald’s, so I thought I would help demystify where some of your delicious McDonald’s food comes from.
I have often heard the debate of whether or not McDonald’s uses real eggs or powdered eggs. I am here to tell you that McDonald’s uses real eggs! You can also be rest assured that you are getting real fruit in the smoothies, as well as in the oatmeal, parfaits and Happy Meals.
So, real food and a real relaxing time for mommy, when I am up for a much needed break. I’ll let someone else wipe down the tables every once in a while!

I love the free wi-fi! Especially since I can use it from the parking lot. Plus they well maintained restrooms which make traveling easier. I appreciate their quick service and that they are making improvements in their food. I’ve slipped for oatmeal many times
Glad you’ve found a way to escape!
