If you have been following my blog, you may know that I am currently enjoying a once-in-lifetime trip to England! Because I love all of my readers so much, I wanted to send you all a virtual post card to say “wish you where here”!

Having a great time here in London. I have visited Kensington Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London and even took a tour of the spooky Tombs of London. We have yet to meet the queen, but we have enjoyed good food and good shopping. We will soon continue our trip in Edinburgh, Scotland to visit the homeland of my ancestors, and to gaze at the men in kilts. It has been lots of walking, but worth it! Lots of fun! Wish you were all here! Cheerio, Emily”
There is so much to take in on a trip to London! I love it all… the food, the architecture, the art and the culture. I only have a few days here and I want to experience it all! That means long days and lots and lots of walking!
I knew this would be the case, so as I was preparing for my trip I was sure to slip in a few essentials to help me out!
One thing I was sure to bring was good, comfortable (yet stylish) walking shoes. I knew we would be on our feet most of the trip, so I took my time to find just the right pair of shoes. I’m glad I did because I can’t imagine all of that walking with blisters on my toes
Another was a big batch of my pre-made Cheerios Energy Mix that I could easily slip into my purse and eat on the “underground” or while walking from destination to destination.
In my Cheerios Energy Mix I like to include 1 cup of nuts, 1 cup of sunflower seeds, 1 cup raisins and my secret weapon…2 cups of Cheerios. When I am traveling I always make up a big resealable bag of the mix and bring along smaller baggies to slip a serving of it into my bag while I’m out and about.
Cheerios are my secret energy mix weapon because they embrace the power of oats to give me long-lasting energy for whatever the day brings. This means I can enjoy every minute of walking around London, without getting that drained, worn out feeling that would be sure to put a damper on the day.
