Online Shopping Features of the Walmart.com App

Walmart.com

Is summer over yet? I certainly love having my babies home and having the freedom to do what we want when we want. However, being a single working mother of 4, with all 4 kids at home all week, is not a walk in the park. I don’t think I have gone to bed before 2 or 3 am but a handful of times this summer. Functioning on less than an ideal amount of sleep means I have had to simplify my life in some ways. That’s where my partnership with Procter and Gamble comes in. P&G provided me (and one lucky Clever Housewife reader – enter below) with a Walmart gift card so I could do some online shopping for household P&G products from Walmart.com.

I most definitely head to the grocery store for groceries, but I can’t tell you how often I forget to pick up the household necessities. Toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent frequently get overlooked and forgotten about, until there is no more. My solution to this dilemma is stocking up and giving myself a reminder to shop when I see the levels getting low. I get so distracted when I head to the store that I forget these types of items. I can remember bread, eggs, milk, etc. no problem, but that’s because my kids nag and remind me when we’re out. The kids could care less about the laundry detergent and other cleaning supplies.

To save myself time and headache, I use the new Walmart smartphone app to shop online for my household needs. This app is so cool because you can easily build a shopping list by scanning all the products you’re ready to purchase again. Simply line up the barcode with the app, and it will bring up a screen that tells you how much the item is at your nearest store. Um, I hate making shopping lists so this is kind of perfect for me. Shop on the go, from bed, while waiting in the pickup line at school, etc. The freedom is yours and you still benefit from the same low prices you get in Walmart stores. Choose to have your purchase shipped directly to your house (shipping is free if you spend $50 or more) or shipped for free to the nearest Walmart location for a quick and easy pick-up with Site to Store.

Tide laundry detergent has always been pretty good in my book, so I ordered the Tide 2x Ultra For High Efficiency Machinest Liquid Laundry Detergent and Tide Pods Spring Meadow Detergent so I could compare the two. Of course I had to order a bottle of Pepsi too. What else is a girl to do while she’s waiting for the laundry to wash?

Now for the really good part….one Clever Housewife reader will win a $25 Walmart gift card from P&G. To enter, fill out the form below. The giveaway will end at 11:59pm PT on 8/19.
