2014 Holiday Gift Guide: Something to Dance About – Just Dance 2015

2014 Holiday Gift Guide Just Dance 2015
In my family, we LOVE to dance! Whether it’s at my house on a Friday after-school or in my parents living room with all of the cousins showing off their best moves after a family dinner, dancing is in our blood! If there is music playing, we are going to dance!

Because we all love to dance so much, Just Dance is a favorite game in our family. If you are not familiar with Just Dance, it’s a video game by UBISOFT that allows you to interact by learning (and dancing) fun choreography to popular songs. This game gets you up, singing and dancing (and getting a great workout) all while having a fun time with friends. We all love to get it out with the whole family on a Sunday afternoon and dance or cheer on the kids as they compete.

To keep the moves fresh, UBISOFT has recently released its brand new version, Just Dance 2015. Players can enjoy 40 new songs and dances that include some of this year’s hit songs like “Happy” by Pharrell and “Maps” by Maroon 5 and a few old favorites like “Walk This Way” from Run DMC. It also has “Let It Go” from the Frozen Soundtrack, which will be fantastic for the kids! Just Dance 2015 is sure to get the entire family up and moving for hours of dancing fun!

2014 Holiday Gift Guide: Just Dance 2015
Gift Guide Ratings:
Poor (or Budget for it), Average, Good, Excellent

Availability: Excellent-available on Amazon or game stores nationwide for all major game systems including Wii, Playstation 4, PS3, Wii U, XBox 360, and Xbox One.

Price: Slightly higher then Average– ranges in price depending on system starting around 49.99, however I have already started to see a few sale prices pop up on Amazon. My prediction is that this game will be one of the hot sale items of the season, so keep checking around to score a great deal on it.

Durability: Excellent– With 40 brand new songs, there are tons of new dances to learn, and new ways to
play! This game is sure to give long-lasting entertainment for anyone who loves dancing, music or a fun way to
exercise.

Educational Features: Good- Challenge yourself with new choreography to learn. Plus, this version allows you to become a dance coach to players around the globe, once you have mastered the moves yourself, with the new “Community Remix” feature.

Interactive Features: Excellent– Obviously this game has always had great interaction between the player and the game, but it now has some brand new features that allow you to interact with other players as well. The new “Challenger Mode” allows you to dance and compete with friends anywhere even if they are not playing at that moment. This version also has the new “online multiplayer mode” that allows you to dance with players online all around the world.

Value For Money: Good– this game is something that the entire family can enjoy together. It’s family dance time, family game night and a family workout all rolled into one.

Who I would buy it for: This game is rated E-10+ due to some of the lyrics in the songs, so I would say it is mainly designed for teens and Tweens. However, I think that it would also be a good gift for an entire family, with some parent supervision (my kids would be more then satisfied to just do “Let it Go” over and over and over again)! Amazon has all of the songs and artists featured on the game here.

Be sure to stay tuned in to the Holiday Gift Guide all season long for more gift ideas, hands-on reviews and giveaway items to gift to your own family and friends.
