Sleep deprivation is something I have been facing quite a bit of as a single mother. I stay up late working most nights (or heaven forbid, trying to unwind), and due to the terrible allergies that hit me this year, I frequently wake up with nasal congestion. Not to mention all of the tossing and turning I do during the night, because of a bad neck from last year’s car accident. Some say sleep is underrated, but really, it is so crucial to feeling and functioning well. With Daylight Savings approaching, now is an excellent time to evaluate your sleep habits, and join the Breathe Right Sleep In Challenge.
This year, during Daylight Saving, Breathe Right wants you to pledge to make a healthy commitment to disconnect for an extra hour of sleep as part of the #BreatheRightSleepIn movement. If someone wants to offer me an extra hour of sleep, you better believe I’m going to take it! As much as I hate Daylight Savings and having to readjust to new sleep schedules, I would love an extra hour of sleep each weekend.
After nights of rough sleep, I can definitely see a difference in my performance that day. Concentration is low, I’m sluggish, the desire to exercise is diminished and I just feel crummy. With the many balls I constantly have in the air, between work, home, kids, church and relationships, I have got to recommit to taking better care of my body and my health. I’ll be a much better mom, friend and person if I do.
Because millions of people around the world use Breathe Right nasal strips to sleep better, I thought it was time I give them a try. Up until last year, I never had allergies. Now I seem to have them all year – and it drives me crazy! I wake up congested many mornings, and the Breathe Right nasal strips are meant to open nasal passages. To make things better, I now get to go to sleep with the calming scent of the new Breathe Right Lavender nasal strips. Lavender scent has been said to calm and relax, which is soothing for bedtime. I gave the strips a try and it truly did work! I can’t say I slept longer, but I fell asleep quickly, and didn’t wake up with a stuffy nose. Huge relief! Now I plan to continue using the strips and taking the Breathe Right Sleep In Challenge in the coming weeks.
Head over to Breathe Right Offers and register for their free sample of Breathe Right Lavender strips to prepare for a night of epic sleep on November 1-2. You can also watch this video to learn more about the #BreatheRightSleepIn movement.
This #DaylightSavings, I pledge with Breathe Right to get epic sleep every night. Join me! #BreatheRightSleepIn!

I have used breathe right strips before, but I move so much in my sleep that when I wake up they are gone! I find them stuck to the blanket or pillow lol. I miss sleeping well!! Maybe I will give these a shot to see if the lavender helps me get to sleep quicker. I work nights so I sleep while the kids are in school and it takes me forever to get to sleep unless I take a sleep aid.
