During the month of October I like to try a variety of ways to change up our meals, and make them spooky; Not necessarily scary, but I like to go along with the Halloween theme. As I have mentioned many times before, I love this time of year. I love baking and cooking for the holidays, and I certainly love decorating. So, I find it so fun to have our meals speak Halloween for themselves. I love when companies make that task even easier, by coming out with holiday themed products. TruMoo has done just that with their brand new TruMoo Orange Scream milk. I decided to take the challenge of creating a yummy festive recipe with the new milk.
The best part about TruMoo flavored milks (in my opinion) is that they begin with fresh pure low fat milk with no artificial growth hormones. To top it off, the kids can get what they want without you having to compromise a ton. No high fructose corn syrup, and a minimal amount of sugar to give TruMoo it’s great flavor.
The new TruMoo Orange Scream is different than any other milk I’ve tasted. It truly tastes like you are drinking a creamsicle! I can only handle drinking a bit of milk at a time, but this made for a really fun way to flavor up some donut holes. I used a Pillsbury® Funfetti® Vanilla Glazed Lil’ Donut Kit, and swapped the milk for TruMoo Orange Scream. I did the same for the glaze, and it turned out great! To make them fit the part of Halloween, I added orange sprinkles. The kids loved them, and gobbled them right up. Prepare the night before, and serve for breakfast with a glass of TruMoo Chocolate Milk.
