Apple Blondie Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce

Apple Blondie Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce

Every Thanksgiving we try to introduce at least one new recipe to the table. This year we went with a delicious looking dessert that ended up being the family favorite. Apple Blondie Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce is a delightfully decadent dessert that was a huge hit for both adults and kids. Some of the teens raved about it so much, that I believe it will be making an appearance at birthday time. Every bite is a flavorful sensation to the palate. The cake, which comes from Life, Love and Sugar, combines the yumminess of a apple spiced blondie bottom, the creamy cheesiness with a hint of caramel and spice in the cream cheese layer and all if it topped with spiced cinnamon apples, dolloped with cinnamon whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Are you drooling yet?

Yes, there are several steps to making the cake, but none are hard or time consuming. First you make the caramel sauce (which incidently can be made for just about anything, and saved in the fridge. I’d make a double batch and use half for the cheesecake, and save half for later), then you make the blondie layer and allow it to cool while you make the cream cheese layer. Let those set, then just before serving, make the spiced apples, whip the cream and put it all together to WOW your family or guests. This is definitely a Winner Dessert!
